Overview
You know what really struck me about Tribe Perth Kings Park? The location is actually pretty clever – it’s on Walker Avenue in West Perth, which means you’re close enough to the city action but far enough out that you’re not dealing with all the CBD chaos. I mean, you can literally walk to Kings Park (hence the name), and honestly, that’s a huge win because the park is absolutely massive and perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city buzz.
The hotel itself has this modern, slightly industrial vibe that works well – it’s definitely aiming for that contemporary traveler crowd rather than the traditional hotel guest. Check-in was smooth when I was there, though I’d say the lobby can get a bit hectic during peak times, especially when tour groups roll in. The rooms are well-designed with decent space, and I appreciated the floor-to-ceiling windows that actually let in proper natural light. The beds are comfortable enough, though the pillows might be a bit firm for some people’s taste. What I really liked was the attention to practical details – plenty of power outlets, good Wi-Fi, and the bathroom setup makes sense (you’d be surprised how many hotels mess this up).
Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really tell you – you’re about a 15-minute walk to the Perth Cultural Centre and the main shopping areas, which is totally doable, but if you’re planning to be out late in Northbridge or down at Elizabeth Quay, you might want to factor in taxi costs. The area around the hotel is pretty quiet at night, which is great for sleep but means you’re not walking to dinner unless you head toward the city. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – the hotel has spaces but they fill up, and street parking in West Perth requires some local knowledge about the time restrictions. The 7.7 rating feels about right to me – it’s a solid choice that does what it promises without any major surprises, good or bad. The staff generally know their stuff about Perth recommendations, and I found them helpful when I needed directions to some of the less touristy spots. If you’re the type who wants to be right in the thick of things, you might feel a bit removed here, but if you appreciate being able to step out your door and be in one of Australia’s best urban parks within minutes, then this place makes a lot of sense.

Guest Reviews
Very good
Decor <> staff obliging and helpfull
What could be improved: Nothing
Very good
The location
What could be improved: The parking was only like 5 bays so if there was a 6th car they park where others may not be able to get out. And you are also charged for the coffee pods if you use them
Very Comfortable but needs adequate heating.
The bed and the pillows on the bed were so incredibly comfortable. The room was very tastefully done.
What could be improved: As the room was incredibly small there was no room for a place to put your luggage. The room only has airconditioning that provides cooling. The only heating was a tiny fan heater which was quite noisy to run.
Superb
Staff, atmosphere and breakfast options are great, room was modern and comfortable
What could be improved: The room was VERY small and instructions on how to cast to the TV were incorrect meaning I used my phone to watch TV.
Very good
Location. Everything including check in was easy.
Good
The property was modern and clean
What could be improved: The hotel is cashless which should not be allowed, cash is legal tender
Proximity to the park
Proximity to kings park and free bus service and food available in the premises.
What could be improved: Room was small. Everything was black.
Very good
everything is good , breakfast could do with more selections
It was good
Close to the hospital our daughter was at
What could be improved: The food menu wasn’t much to go by
Very good
Excellent location, modern rooms, well insulated (almost no noise between rooms).
What could be improved: Only one real negative that could be easily fixed; they cheaped out on the toilet paper. You can literally get better bog roll in public toilets.
Otherwise, rooms were a tiny bit cramped, but not horrid. All up, generally okay and fine for the price point.
