The rooms are well-designed with decent space, and I appreciated the floor-to-ceiling windows that actually let in proper natural light. The beds are comfortable enough, though the pillows might be a bit firm for some people’s taste. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – the hotel has spaces but they fill up, and street parking in West Perth requires some local knowledge about the time restrictions. The 7.7 rating feels about right to me – it’s a solid choice that does what it promises without any major surprises, good or bad. The staff generally know their stuff about Perth recommendations, and I found them helpful when I needed directions to some of the less touristy spots. If you’re the type who wants to be right in the thick of things, you might feel a bit removed here, but if you appreciate being able to step out your door and be in one of Australia’s best urban parks within minutes, then this place makes a lot of sense.
