Overview
I’ll be honest β when I first walked into The Westin Perth on Hay Street, I wasn’t expecting to be blown away. I mean, it’s right in the thick of the CBD, and you know how some city hotels can feel sort of sterile and corporate. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this warm, sophisticated vibe that doesn’t scream “look how fancy we are” β it’s more like stepping into a really well-designed friend’s living room, if your friend happened to have excellent taste and a serious budget.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between luxury and livability. The rooms are spacious (and I mean actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), with these huge windows that give you proper views of the city β depending on which side you’re on, you might catch glimpses of the Swan River or the bustling Murray Street pedestrian mall. The beds are absolutely divine β those signature Westin Heavenly beds live up to the hype, honestly. I’m usually a light sleeper, but even with all the city action right outside, the soundproofing is surprisingly good. You’ll hear the occasional tram rumbling down Hay Street, but it’s more charming than annoying.
The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the heart of everything. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Murray Street pedestrian mall, and Forrest Place is right there when you need to catch public transport. The hotel staff seem to actually know Perth too β they pointed me toward some great little laneway bars I never would have found otherwise, and steered me away from the tourist traps. Their concierge gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that locals actually go to, not just the obvious choices. Parking can be a bit pricey (welcome to Perth CBD), but they do have valet service if you don’t want to deal with the hassle of finding street parking. The gym is well-equipped and rarely crowded β I went around 7 AM most mornings and practically had the place to myself. One small thing that impressed me: the housekeeping staff are incredibly thorough without being intrusive, and they remember your preferences after the first day. Overall, it’s one of those places where you can tell the staff actually care about what they’re doing rather than just going through the motions.

Guest Reviews
Amazing location, amazing facilities and amazing staff.
Everything is perfect ππΎ
What could be improved: Nothing not to like.
Excellent, will definitely be staying there next time we visit Perth.
Rooms were large and comfortable, providing coffee/tea facilities. Toiletries including slippers were also provided.
Breakfast had a great selection, also taking in account people with allergies.
Highly recommended.
Excellent front desk stuff!
What could be improved: Bellboy or concierge did not greet guests.
Superb
Buffet was great, rooms were spacious and clean, friendly staff, great location.
What could be improved: Beds werenβt big enough.
Nice, easy, comfy and friendly
The room was nice and big, with a nice apsect window overlooknig the city. The bed was also big, big enough for both my wife and I and our 5 year old son. Pool was great, nice and warm, gym had all the equipment and not busy at all, the lounge bar/lobby was nice big and comfortable to be in, underground parking was easy as too. Never ate in the restaurant so cant comment on that but plenty of places to eat around the hotel and in Northbridge
What could be improved: The pillows on the bed were fine but could have been a mix of light and fluffy as they have, with one flatter more dense one for people who prefer that. The telephone in the room needs a doctorine to work too...
Exceptional stay! Views, good, cleanliness, staff - everything was great!!!
EVERYTHING! It was a perfect stay, better than we expected. Rooms, views, cleanliness, food, staff - everything was exceptional. Even little details like the smell when you enter the hotel, lavender roll ons, beautiful gowns⦠just pleasure. We rented 2 rooms.
What could be improved: Coffee machine wasnβt working properly
Exceptional
Loved the bed and the bathroom
What could be improved: Nothing
Highly recommended, Top rates hotel in the city with Valet Parking.
Location, valet parking, staff amazing, reception, housekeeping and valet staff, so friendly and efficient. Lovely room, very comfortable bed and excellent room service. Would highly recommend and look to forward to staying again.
Perfect city deluxe staycation
Stunning view and room. Feels new and deluxe. Comfy bedding. Wonderful attentive staff.
What could be improved: Room didnβt have a bath. A bit small for a family of four and the double beds are tiny.
Comfortable, clean great location.
What could be improved: Corridors too dark, room lighting could be more area specific rather than all or nothing.
