Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into QT Perth – I mean, it’s right there on Murray Street with all the usual CBD chaos – but honestly, this place surprised me. The moment you step inside, there’s this whole theatrical vibe going on that’s completely different from the stuffy business hotels you usually find in Perth’s city center. The lobby feels more like an art installation than a hotel entrance, and I actually caught myself stopping to look around instead of just rushing to check in like I normally do.
The thing about QT Perth is that it sits in this perfect sweet spot where you’re literally in the heart of everything without feeling like you’re trapped in a concrete jungle. Walk out the front door and you’re maybe two minutes from the Murray Street Mall (which, let’s be honest, isn’t much to write home about, but it’s handy for basics), and if you head the other way toward the river, you’ll hit all those decent restaurants along the foreshore. What I really appreciated was how quiet the rooms actually are – I was worried about street noise since Murray Street gets pretty busy during the day, but their windows must be seriously good because I barely heard anything once I was inside. The rooms themselves have this quirky, almost boutique-y design that feels intentional rather than trying-too-hard trendy. I stayed on the seventh floor and honestly, the view wasn’t spectacular or anything, but you get decent glimpses of the city and toward Kings Park if you angle yourself right.
Here’s the thing though – and this is where QT Perth really won me over – the staff actually seem to know what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth (none of that “your room isn’t ready yet” nonsense even though I arrived early), and when I asked about parking, they pointed me to the Wilson parking just around the corner on Hay Street instead of trying to upsell me on some overpriced hotel parking. Little things like that matter when you’re trying to navigate a city. The hotel restaurant is solid too, though I’d probably skip breakfast there and walk five minutes to one of those cafes on King Street instead – better coffee and half the price. Overall, it’s got that rare combination of being polished enough that you feel like you’re staying somewhere special, but not so precious that you’re afraid to actually use the amenities. If you’re looking for a place in Perth CBD that’s got some personality and won’t leave you feeling like you’re in a corporate travel brochure, QT Perth is honestly a pretty safe bet.

Guest Reviews
Luxurious stay in the centre of Perth
Very luxurious room with beautiful big wooden floorboards. Nespresso machine was a bonus. Great block out curtains to shut out lights at night.
What could be improved: Had trouble working out where all the light switches were. Only longlife milk.
Fabulous Hotel right where you need to be in Perth.
Beautifully appointed rooms with huge marbled bathroom. Decor was luxurious and beds were fabulous. Fantastic location near the mall, train station, cafes and restaurants. Valet parking , rooftop bar and facilities were excellent.
What could be improved: I found the phone a little confusing to talk to reception. You needed to use the help me button. This wasn’t clear in the QR code hotel information system. But this was a very minor issue.
Very good
Good location, great ambience, staff were very friendly and helpful
What could be improved: Room was quite noisey
Superb
Dyson hairdryer woop. I like the bare wooden floors and the aesthetic of the room.
What could be improved: The mirrors in the bathroom are very very - too - far away from you when you stand at the sink, so it's very difficult to shave and there's no shaving mirror, I don't know how ladies would apply make-up. A shaving mirror would be a really great addition to the rooms
Opulence in a great location
Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful furnishings. Great location!
What could be improved: I have nothing to say.
Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy more of the facilities
