Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked into The Ritz-Carlton Perth – I mean, it’s right there on Barrack Street in the heart of the CBD, and you know how some city hotels can feel a bit stuffy or disconnected from the actual place you’re visiting. But this one actually gets it right. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about how to blend that classic Ritz-Carlton elegance with something distinctly Perth, and it works.
What really impressed me was how they’ve positioned everything. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Elizabeth Quay, which is perfect if you want to catch the ferry across to South Perth for those postcard views of the city skyline – something I definitely recommend doing around sunset. The hotel sits right where the business district meets the cultural precinct, so you can easily walk to the Perth Concert Hall or wander down to the Swan River without dealing with any of that awkward in-between zone that some CBD hotels stick you in. The staff actually knows the area too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. When I asked about getting to Fremantle, the concierge didn’t just hand me a generic map – he told me about the train times and mentioned that Saturday mornings are best for the markets before the crowds hit.
The rooms themselves feel substantial, if that makes sense. The beds are exactly what you’d expect from a Ritz-Carlton – seriously comfortable – but it’s the little details that got me. The bathrooms have these deep soaking tubs that actually fit a normal-sized person, and the shower pressure is fantastic (something you don’t always get in fancy hotels, weirdly enough). I stayed on the river side and could see all the way across to the Hills in the distance, especially nice in the morning when the light hits the water just right. The service is spot-on without being overwhelming – they remember your name and preferences, but they’re not hovering around making you feel like you can’t relax. Parking is valet only, which might annoy some people, but honestly it’s worth it because street parking around there is basically impossible, and the hotel garage connects directly to the lobby so you don’t have to deal with Perth’s unpredictable weather. The only minor thing I’d mention is that Barrack Street can get a bit busy during weekday rush hours, but the rooms are well-insulated so it’s not really an issue unless you’re someone who’s super sensitive to any city sounds.

Guest Reviews
A beautiful hotel that exceeded expections. It's worthy of the 5 stars.
The service was exceptional, the location and facilities are beautiful.
Very good
The facilities and location and rooms were excellent.
What could be improved: We would have liked bigger mugs or cups for a cup of tea.
An absolute new favourite hotel for us
Perth can be extremely proud of this icon Hotel.
Beyond the magic Swan river views the decor in the room was truly exceptional. The bathroom was devine and fantastically designed. The room was very spacious and comfortable. One of the best value for quality hotels we have ever encountered.
A visit to the club on 6th floor is a must

Sound proof. I needed a good nights sleep
Great quality mini bar
What could be improved: Nothing really except there was noting to put your drink beside the bath .
Phenomenal! Rooms and staff services are excellent! I highly recommend this property!
The property is on excellent condition and the staff service is phenomenal!
What could be improved: I would think that parking space wasn’t gonna be an issue, the amount you pay you would at least think that they had to have free parking spaces..
Will do it again soo
