This four-star property surprised me in the best way possible. The location feels residential and peaceful, yet you’re actually just minutes from everything that makes Perth worth visiting. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t scream “tourist accommodation” β it feels more like you’re borrowing a friend’s really nice place.
The Space Itself
The villa gives you that rare thing in travel β actual space to breathe. The room layout is thoughtfully designed, and I mean that in a practical way, not just aesthetically. You’ve got a proper living area that doesn’t feel cramped, and the bedroom is separate enough that you can actually unwind. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune on dining out (Perth restaurants can add up quickly, trust me). I spent most mornings making coffee and planning my day from the comfortable seating area β honestly, it felt more like a temporary home than a hotel stay.

Here’s what I love about Applecross β you’re positioned perfectly between the river and the city without being stuck in either tourist trap. The Swan River is literally a short walk away, and I found myself taking evening strolls along the water more often than I expected. Parking is included on-site, which anyone who’s driven around Perth will tell you is a genuine blessing. The area has this quiet, upscale residential feel, but you can still grab groceries or a decent coffee within a few minutes’ walk.

The villa strikes that sweet spot between independence and comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. You’re not dealing with crowded hotel lobbies or fighting for elevator space, but you also don’t sacrifice the amenities that make travel easier. The place is impeccably maintained β everything from the appliances to the linens feels fresh and well-cared-for. I particularly appreciated having a proper workspace, since I needed to catch up on some emails during my stay. The Wi-Fi actually works reliably, which isn’t always a given even in nicer accommodations.

What could be improved: Single air con which was hard to distribute over 3 segregated spaces. Prob a studio arrangement would have been fantastic.

Exceptional at every aspect without exaggeration. Starting from floor tiles, spacious bathroom, bedroom mirror big wardrobe , relaxing location to free easy parking!! Highly recommended π
