Overview
I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Quest South Perth Foreshore on Harper Terrace. The building itself looks pretty standard from the outside, sort of like those modern apartment blocks you see everywhere. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t feel the need to show off.
The location is actually brilliant, and I mean that in the most practical way possible. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Swan River foreshore – not some distant water view you need binoculars for, but the actual riverbank where people are jogging at sunrise and families are having weekend picnics. The Perth Zoo is right there across the water, and honestly, the ferry ride from South Perth jetty to the city is one of those little pleasures that makes you feel like you’re living in a postcard. Takes about ten minutes and beats dealing with traffic on the causeway any day. Plus, if you’re into that whole fitness thing, the foreshore path stretches for kilometers – I saw people cycling, walking dogs, even some brave souls swimming in winter.
What really got me was how the staff actually seemed to know the area. When I asked about dinner options, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic brochure – he mentioned that Little Willie’s down on Angelo Street does great pizza (he was right), and that the South Perth Markets happen on Saturday mornings just a short walk away. The rooms themselves are spacious, like properly spacious, not that cramped hotel room feeling where you’re bumping into furniture. Everything’s clean and modern, though I have to say the air conditioning can be a bit loud at night if you’re a light sleeper. The kitchenette is actually useful too – proper sized fridge, decent cooktop, enough counter space to make a real breakfast instead of just heating up instant coffee.
Parking was surprisingly painless, which anyone who’s driven around Perth will appreciate. They’ve got their own spaces, and you don’t have to feed meters or worry about time limits. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet most evenings, though you do get some noise from Harper Terrace during rush hour – nothing major, just the usual city sounds. I actually liked hearing the city wake up in the morning, gave the place a lived-in feel rather than that sterile hotel bubble vibe.
The thing that really sets this place apart is that it feels like staying in someone’s well-appointed apartment rather than a hotel room. You’ve got space to spread out, a proper dining table if you want to eat in, and windows that actually open (surprisingly rare these days). The views vary depending on your room, but even if you don’t get the river outlook, you’re still looking out over one of Perth’s nicer suburbs. And honestly, at night when the city lights reflect off the water and you can see the CBD skyline, it’s pretty spectacular. It’s the kind of place where you might actually want to stay in for the evening instead of feeling like you need to escape your room.

Never Disappoint...
Location was very convenient, apartment was complete and clean with a wonderful view. Housekeeping was excellent, provide everyday cleaning which makes the stay more pleasant.
Wonderful. The view across the Swan River to the CBD was amazing, day and night
Great location, close to ferry, bus, train and walking distance to the zoo
Location fantastic, clean, comfortable and staff so lovely!
No breakfast??
Location great and city view.
What could be improved: Upgrade to next door 503A as no one there. We only know room configuration as have stayed in that room before.
We still enjoyed 503B.
Great location and comfortable
Here as a family reunion for cousin's wedding. Had a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry facilities in room. Good location, staff are helpful, room is clean, parking is secured. There's a 24/7 supermarket under the same roof which makes it even more convenient.
What could be improved: Nothing.
Great to be back :-)
Everything. Love the place and team.

Exceptional
A great place to stay. Well equipped apartments with good parking close to the city and the freeway. Definitely a great place to stay any time you visit Perth.
What could be improved: Everything was fabulous
Great stay and views
Great room and view on the 6th floor
What could be improved: Would have liked a balcony if I requested the highest floor and best view like I did
Exceptional
Apartment is clean and spacious.
Awesome location with friendly and helpful staff.
What could be improved: Lower water pressure of rain shower. Floor tends to get wet after each shower as the bath screen is only half.
Exceptional
Apartment is clean and spacious. Location is awesome.
Helpful and friendly staff.
What could be improved: The water pressure of the rain shower is not strong enough. The half shower screen in the bathroom is not useful as the floor outside will get wet after each shower.
Quest South Perth
Very comfortable with excellent staff.
