Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Quest Mounts Bay Road? I expected just another corporate apartment-style place, but this spot actually has some personality. The location is honestly pretty sweet – you’re right on one of Perth’s main drags, which sounds chaotic but Mounts Bay Road has this weird calm vibe despite all the traffic. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Kings Park (and trust me, you’ll want to hit those botanic gardens), plus the Swan River is right there if you’re into morning jogs or just watching the rowers do their thing.
The rooms are properly spacious – like, actually spacious, not hotel marketing spacious. I stayed in one of their studio apartments and could’ve done cartwheels if I wanted to. The kitchenette situation is legit too; you can actually cook real meals instead of just reheating sad takeaway. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, though the air conditioning can be a bit aggressive (just a heads up). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – for being on a main road, the soundproofing is solid. You might catch some early morning traffic noise around 7am, but nothing that’ll ruin your sleep.
Here’s the thing about this area that most people don’t realize until they’re wandering around – you’re positioned perfectly between the CBD action and the more chill river precinct. Elizabeth Quay is maybe a 10-minute walk, and honestly, that’s where you’ll probably end up for dinner anyway. The hotel itself doesn’t have a restaurant (which is fine, there’s enough good food around), but there’s a decent little café downstairs that does proper coffee. Staff-wise, they’re pretty helpful without being overly chatty – they actually know the area and can point you toward the less touristy spots if you ask. Parking can be a bit of a pain during business hours, but evenings and weekends are totally manageable. The whole place feels more like a proper apartment building than a hotel, which works if you’re staying more than a couple nights and want to feel less like you’re living out of a suitcase.

Guest Reviews
Superb
Very friendly and helpful
What could be improved: No parking
A good base.
Although on the edge of the city, this modern hotel is well-placed to walk to many of the main areas. The concept of a mini-kitchen is a good one, the room was a good size and the bed comfortable. The staff were very engaging.
What could be improved: The hotel is squeezed in between other buildings so feels rather enclosed. It seemed rather functional. The immediate area lacks interest.
Lovely little stay in Perth
Lovely room
Exceptional
really nice location, facilities and rooms had enough space. Cleaned well and staff were really responsive. Great cafe on site as well.
Terrific
Location, kitchen facilities and coffee shop attached to the hotel.
Value for money
Spacious room. Excellent service. Very friendly front desk staff. Excellent location. Especially loved the Jacob's Ladder just behind the property :-)
Very good
I love tge room u get everything u want
Nice stay overall
Beautiful room.
What could be improved: Staff was a little rude and huge security deposit
A comfortable, well-equipped stay with exceptional service that made us feel right at home.
Our stay was absolutely amazing! The room was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed to cook—dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge and stove. We arrived late due to a flight delay, but the self check-in system made things so easy. Our return flight was close to midnight, and the staff kindly allowed us a late checkout.
Special thanks to Maria at the front desk—she was incredibly warm and friendly throughout our stay and even arranged for us to use the shower room before our departure. Her hospitality truly made a difference!
What could be improved: Honestly, everything was great! If I had to point out anything, the 10am checkout was a bit early, and the price was slightly on the higher side—but overall, the experience was well worth it.
Great stay
Good location, kind staff, good facilities, room was clean
What could be improved: Early morning exercisers up and down Jacob’s ladder may be a good alarm clock for some, didn’t bother me too much but I could foresee others being bothered
