Overview
You know what struck me first about the Parmelia Hilton? It’s actually got this perfect sweet spot location on Mill Street where you’re right in the thick of Perth’s CBD without being on one of those crazy busy roads that keep you up all night. I mean, you can literally walk to Elizabeth Quay in about three minutes – and honestly, that waterfront area is where you’ll probably end up spending half your evenings anyway.
The building itself has this solid, established feel that you don’t get with some of the flashier newer hotels. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely polished and feels proper five-star, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. The lobby has this warm, woody vibe going on, and the staff actually seem to know what they’re doing (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given even at fancy places). Check-in was smooth as anything, and the front desk guy gave me genuinely useful tips about getting around – not just the tourist brochure stuff, but real local intel about which coffee spots to hit and when the free CAT buses run.
What really won me over though was how the place just… works. The rooms are spacious without being cavernous, and the beds are seriously comfortable – like, I’m talking about the kind of sleep where you actually feel rested in the morning. The bathrooms are well-designed too, with proper water pressure and toiletries that don’t smell like generic hotel soap. From my room on the upper floors, I could see across to Kings Park, which is absolutely gorgeous at sunset if you’re into that sort of thing. The only minor gripe I’d have is that the air conditioning can be a bit noisy when it kicks in, but honestly, most Perth hotels have that issue. Parking is valet only, which runs about $35 a day – not cheap, but pretty standard for the CBD, and at least you don’t have to wrestle with those terrible mechanical parking systems. The location really is the star here though. You’re walking distance to basically everything worth seeing – the Swan River, all the good restaurants along the laneways, Northbridge if you want nightlife, and the shopping precincts. Plus, if you need to get to Fremantle or the beaches, you’re right near the train stations. It’s one of those places where you can actually leave your car parked and just explore on foot, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to get a feel for a city.

Guest Reviews
Great location for us to get around with a short stroll to train station and other attractions.
Location was excelent and a lot quieter than being in the middle of the city.
What could be improved: Views from our room weren't that great but we didnt really expect it.
A wonderful stay, best i have had in a long time. I will definitely come again.
The lovely Carol and the front desk was warm, friendly and caring, she is most definitely an asset for you and made us feel very welcome and looked after. Like the nice touch of the sms as a welcome and for ease of communication.
I also found the vallet parking and friendliness of the team wonderful.
Buffet breakfast was great, although I feel like a 10am finish is a tad too early after a big night out.
What could be improved: 10am buffet breakfast finish- this was too early.
Fancy with a homely feel
It felt very homely, clean and just overall very welcoming place to stay
Superb
The convenience of connecting rooms.
Great breakfast.
Amazing location.
Very friendly staff.
Very little not to like - it was a great and super comfortable stay.
What could be improved: Having connecting rooms ready at the outset. When we arrived at 6 pm, they didn't have one of the two connecting rooms ready and gave us two rooms on the same floor but a few rooms apart.
Adopting some supply chain management practices can help them prepare rooms in the order of arrivals and have them ready especially since they had agreed to our request at the time of booking.
This is just a piece of advice and a very minor complaint in an otherwise amazing stay.
Thanks for your nice and thoughtful response to my question

Great family hotel in Perth CBD
The staff was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Thank you so much for looking after our family!!
Additionally, we were a family of three, consisting of two adults and a two-year-old, and we had booked a room with a king bed, whereas many other hotels in the city wouldn't have allowed us to book a double room.
Best value for money in the central Perth parking at the convention centre is only five dollars overnight to cheap and s
