Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Oceanic Escape 50m to beach, you immediately understand why this four-star property has earned such high marks from guests. The name isn’t just marketing speak — you’re literally a 50-meter stroll from Scarborough Beach, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re carrying beach gear or just want to pop back to your room for a quick shower. The building sits right on West Coast Highway, so there’s a bit of road noise, but once you see that ocean view stretching toward the horizon, you sort of forget about everything else.
Location & Neighborhood
Scarborough has really transformed over the past few years, and this spot puts you right in the heart of it all. You’ve got the beach obviously, but also cafes, restaurants, and that fantastic esplanade that’s perfect for morning runs or evening walks. I mean, couples consistently rate this location 8.7 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get it — there’s something romantic about being able to watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean from your room, then walk downstairs for dinner. The free private parking is actually a huge bonus too, because finding a spot near Scarborough Beach during summer can be a real headache.
The Accommodation Experience
The rooms at Oceanic Escape 50m to beach strike that sweet spot between comfortable and upscale without feeling overly formal. Most units come with kitchenettes, which is brilliant if you want to grab fresh seafood from the markets and cook it yourself — or just store those expensive beach snacks and drinks. The ocean-facing rooms are obviously the pick here, and while they cost a bit more, waking up to that view makes it worthwhile. The furnishings feel contemporary without being cold, and you know what, the beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in apartment-style accommodations).
Beach Access & Amenities
That 50-meter walk to the beach isn’t an exaggeration — I timed it. You’re basically across the road and down a short path, then your toes are in the sand. Scarborough Beach itself is fantastic for swimming, with patrolled areas and generally calmer waters than some of Perth’s other beaches. The hotel provides beach towels, which saves you packing space, and there’s an outdoor pool if you prefer chlorine to salt water. The property also has barbecue facilities, and honestly, there’s something pretty special about grilling dinner while watching the sun set over the ocean.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests have rated the location 9.1 out of 10, and after staying here, that high score makes complete sense. It’s not just about being close to the beach — though that’s obviously the main draw — it’s about being in a spot where you can actually live like a local for a few days. You can walk to restaurants, hit the beach whenever the mood strikes, and still have the comfort of a well-appointed room to return to. The combination of that prime beachfront location, decent amenities, and the freedom that comes with apartment-style living creates something that feels more like a home base than just another hotel room.
Apartments in Perth suit remote workers with floor-to-ceiling river views, fast fibre, and balconies over the CBD skyline.

Disappointing- not restful at all.
What could be improved: Hard to sleep, air con not in bedrooms, noisy location - bedrooms not dark- parking was a nightmare.

Very good
Overall we enjoyed our stay but due to stairs would stay elsewhere next time.
Good location, close to beach and restaurants. Apartment very clean and nicely decorated.
What could be improved: Very noisy as the bedroom faces the main road. Fan in the bedroom makes a loud grinding sound and needs servicing. Lots of stairs up to the apartment. Was disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay.
Exceptional
Everything was great apart from aircon was not the best and not in rooms with 40 degree heat but only downfall.
Special touches with biscuits being left.
Nice and clean
Exceptional
