Overview
First Impressions
Northlodge Central City Apartments sits right on Beaufort Street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. This four-star property has that modern apartment-hotel vibe that works perfectly when you want more space than a regular hotel room but don’t want to sacrifice service. The building itself is sleek without being flashy — you know what I mean, it fits right into the Perth cityscape without trying too hard.
The Beaufort Street Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying here — Beaufort Street is actually one of those streets that locals use, not just tourists. You’ve got proper cafes within walking distance, plus you’re close enough to the CBD that you can walk there if you’re feeling energetic (though honestly, the tram is right there too). The apartment setup means you get a proper kitchen, which is brilliant when you want to grab fresh stuff from the weekend markets and actually cook something decent. The location puts you right in the heart of the action, with easy access to some of Perth’s best dining and entertainment venues just moments away.
Space That Actually Works
The apartments themselves are well thought out — I mean, someone actually considered how people live, not just how things look in photos. You get separate living areas, which makes a huge difference when you’re staying more than a couple of nights. The kitchens are properly equipped too, not just those token setups with a kettle and mini-fridge. There’s decent storage space, and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. Each apartment is designed with comfort and functionality in mind, making extended stays feel like home rather than a temporary arrangement.
Getting Around Perth
What really works about this spot is how connected you are to everything. The CAT bus stops nearby (that’s Perth’s free city bus, by the way), and you can walk to Northbridge in about ten minutes when you want nightlife. Kings Park is close enough for morning runs, and if you’re here for work, the business district is genuinely walkable. Parking is available too, which matters more in Perth than people realize — the city’s more spread out than it looks. Public transport connections make it easy to explore further afield without needing a vehicle.
Why Guests Love It
The excellent location rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. Couples particularly seem to get it — there’s something about having your own space in the heart of the city that just works for romantic trips. You can cook breakfast together, then wander out to explore, and you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble. The staff know the area well and actually give useful recommendations, not just the standard tourist spots. It’s that sweet spot between independence and having support when you need it.
