Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to HoneyB on West Coast Highway, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building itself is pretty standard beachfront apartment stuff, but once you get inside this two-bedroom unit, it actually feels like someone put real thought into making it work for travelers. The space is genuinely comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty, and you can tell they’ve had enough guests to figure out what people actually need.
The real win here is the location – you’re literally steps from Scarborough Beach, which honestly has come such a long way from its dodgy reputation years ago. I mean, you can hear the waves from the apartment, and if you’re an early riser (or insomniac like me), watching the sunrise over the Indian Ocean is pretty spectacular. The beach itself gets busy with families and surfers during the day, but early morning and late afternoon it’s perfect for a walk or just sitting with a coffee. What’s really handy is that you’re right in the thick of the West Coast Highway strip – there’s a decent IGA about two minutes away, and you’ve got everything from fish and chips to proper restaurants within walking distance. The Rendezvous Hotel is right there too, so you know the area’s established.
The apartment itself sleeps four comfortably, and I appreciated that both bedrooms actually have proper privacy – not like those places where one “bedroom” is just a curtained-off area. The kitchen’s well-stocked enough to cook real meals, which saves you from eating out every night (because let’s face it, that adds up fast). Parking can be a bit of a dance during peak summer, but there’s usually something within a block or two. The only thing that might bug light sleepers is that West Coast Highway does get some traffic noise, especially on weekend nights when people are heading to the bars in Scarborough – but honestly, the ocean sounds mostly drown it out. Check-in was smooth, and the hosts were actually responsive when I had questions, which you can’t always count on with apartment rentals. For the price point and that 8.1 rating, it delivers what it promises without any nasty surprises.

Guest Reviews
Lovely location
Fantastic location. Beautiful views. Modern apartment.
What could be improved: Hot water only lasts about 5-6 minutes in shower. There’s some black mould on ceiling in bathroom. Our check-in was delayed until 6pm so we had to wait an additional 3 hours to access room, missing a dinner reservation we had booked.
Birthday getaway
A beautiful stay and an INCREDIBLE location for a birthday getaway!! It was absolute bliss waking up to the crashing waves on the beach.
We would stay there again next time we are in WA!
What could be improved: There was an unpleasant odour in the corridor of the apartment complex. The apartment itself did not.
Disappointing attitude from MRP… the arrogance is appalling
Lovely apartment nicely furnished great location
What could be improved: Did not appreciate being woken at 9 am on our last morning by maintenance men sent by managenent company to allow access for no reason given … why they couldn’t wait until the apartment was vacant we don’t know. When I challenged some rude girl in the office who really had a very bad attitude and told me check out time was 10am incorrectly but apparently she knows better than the 11am time stated on info given to us …..so she argued with me and couldn’t understand why she had no right to send men to the apartment without notice. Utterly unprofessional and bad mannered.
Very good
Comfortable, clean amd close to the beach.
What could be improved: WiFi not working
We were here for 6 nights close to all the beaches/bars
Location and views
What could be improved: 1 toilet
Beautiful beach front apartment. Bright and airy. Homely. Well equipped.
Amazing views. Lovely balcony. Gorgeous kitchen. All very well equipped. 2 large double bedrooms, one with sea views.
What could be improved: The only slight negative was the key situation wasn’t easy with 4 people who didn’t always go out together. More keys required ideally.
Lovely stay would book again now that I know not to expect great WiFi or Netflix.
Lovely apartment with great views huge bedrooms nicely renovated and decorated. Beds extremely comfortable kitchen has everything you need including a nespresso machine ❤️
What could be improved: Couldn’t access Netflix on any of the three tvs and to get it reinstalled took a lot of ignored calls to the property manager and 36 hours. Finally the lovely Emma arrived to sort it out. Don’t need that on holiday.
Good place to stay
Location good
What could be improved: Hard to get the key, more detailed guidance is needed, preferably with pictures
Beautiful location
What could be improved: Not enough hot water, ran out after 1 and 1/2 showers.
Heater required downstairs.
Only 1 dishwasher tablet for 1 week stay
It was a wonderful place and management team is prompt with answering any online queries.
Amazing location and view. The bed was very comfortable, and was great having a washing machine (with laundry liquid supplied).
What could be improved: TV in bedroom wasn't connected to freeview and could only show Youtube, as no other services were available. There were only 4 coffee pods for the coffee machine and 3 teabags, while I was there for 6 days.
