Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to 6 Tranquil Leafygreen Scarbbeach Townhse on Ewen Street, I’ll be honest — the name had me curious, and the property itself didn’t disappoint. This four-star townhouse sits in one of Scarborough’s quieter residential pockets, just far enough from the main beach crowds to feel peaceful but close enough that you can hear the ocean if you listen carefully. The free parking right on-site was a relief after driving around Perth all day, and I could immediately see why couples rate this place so highly.
The Space Itself
What struck me most about this place is how it actually feels like a home rather than a typical hotel room. The townhouse setup means you get proper living spaces that flow naturally from one area to another — there’s something refreshing about having room to spread out after being cramped in standard hotel rooms elsewhere. The decor leans into that “leafygreen” part of the name with plenty of plants and natural textures, though it’s done tastefully rather than going overboard with the theme. You know what I mean — it’s green and calming without feeling like you’re sleeping in a greenhouse.
Location Perks
Here’s the thing about this spot in Scarborough — you’re getting the best of both worlds. The beach is an easy walk when you want that classic Perth coastal experience, but you’re tucked away on a residential street that actually lets you sleep at night. I spent a morning exploring the neighborhood and found some solid local cafes that most tourists probably miss entirely. The recent guests aren’t wrong about rating the location a 9.3 — it’s one of those places where you feel like you’ve discovered something the guidebooks haven’t caught onto yet.
What Makes It Work for Couples
I can definitely see why this place draws couples looking for a romantic getaway. There’s something intimate about the townhouse layout that you just don’t get in a standard hotel — separate spaces where you can actually relax together without feeling like you’re on top of each other. The whole setup encourages you to slow down a bit, maybe grab some groceries and cook together, or just sit with coffee in the morning without rushing off to tourist attractions. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying in more than you planned, and that’s honestly not a bad thing.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
After spending time here, that 8.4 rating makes complete sense — this isn’t trying to be the flashiest place in Perth, but it nails the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re traveling. The combination of space, location, and that residential feel creates something pretty special, especially if you’re tired of cookie-cutter accommodations. You’re getting genuine tranquility (hence the name, I suppose) without sacrificing access to everything Scarborough has to offer. For couples especially, it’s one of those rare finds where you can create your own little retreat while still being part of the city.

Guest Reviews
Good location. Great communication. Comfortable property
Good location. Comfortable house with basic amenities.
What could be improved: Ran out of toilet paper.
Superb
Excellent short stay. Attention to detail was great. Lovely people to deal with in preparation. Excellent little shops 2 minutes away on foot - closest was great little cafe, winebar and restaurant. Another minute or 2 walk to a great little supermarket.
What could be improved: Head board on the bed was loose and banged when I moved in bed. I fixed it by jamming a pillow between window and bedhead. bunks were really squeaky.
Great place for the beach and shops
The location was perfect to or us
What could be improved: Not air conditioning in all bedrooms
Superb
The location was perfect for us. The unit was clean and everything we needed
What could be improved: The Beds were rock hard, making them very uncomfortable for us
A lovely house and we were very happy with it
Convenient and very clean.
What could be improved: The bed in the master was a little too hard for me but that is only personal preference.
I think the lounge would be better with 2, 2 seater couches as the 4 of us could not fit comfortably on the L shape couch
A great stay - it felt like a home which was nice as my daughter and I were staying for work and school purposes. I’d re
Spacious, immaculately clean, loads of light and a lovely courtyard
What could be improved: N/A
Very good
I really liked the shops and restaurants that were close to the property. It was far enough away from the main beach.
I really liked how quiet the area was as well..
What could be improved: The couch. For a place to come back to and relax after a long day of work, the couch was in really bad shape and it was really uncomfortable
Very good
Great location for a family exploring the area
What could be improved: The main double bed was a bit small and firm and the couch wasn't big enough for the five of us
