Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into SUBI CENTRAL CLOSE CBD HOSPITALS WIFI NETFLIX WINE, I’ll be honest — the name made me chuckle, but it actually tells you everything you need to know. This four-star apartment on Hay Street doesn’t mess around with fancy marketing speak; it just delivers exactly what busy travelers need. The building itself is modern and well-maintained, and you know what? Sometimes straightforward is exactly what works.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Subiaco — it’s one of those Perth neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook. You’re literally minutes from the CBD, which means you can walk to most major hospitals if that’s why you’re here (and let’s face it, medical travel is real). The train station is close enough that you don’t need to stress about transport, and honestly, the area has this relaxed vibe that’s way more pleasant than staying right in the city center. I mean, couples rate the location 9.5 out of 10, so they’re definitely onto something.
The Space Itself
The room setup is actually pretty clever — it’s designed like a proper apartment rather than just a hotel room with a mini-fridge. The kitchen is functional enough that you can actually cook if you want to (though with Subi’s café scene, you might not bother). What really impressed me was how they’ve thought about the details — decent WiFi that actually works for video calls, Netflix already set up on a proper-sized TV, and yes, there’s usually a bottle of wine waiting. It’s those little touches that make you feel like someone actually thought about what you’d want after a long day.
Practical Perks
The free parking situation is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving around Perth — finding a park in most inner suburbs can be a nightmare and expensive to boot. The apartment comes with its own spot, which takes one major stress off your plate. The building’s security is solid without being over-the-top, and the whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a typical hotel. Plus, being self-contained means you can come and go as you please without dealing with reception desk hours.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’d book for a romantic anniversary (though apparently couples do love it here), but it’s perfect when you need a reliable, comfortable base in Perth. The location score speaks for itself — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the city chaos to actually relax. The fact that they’ve nailed the basics — good internet, entertainment sorted, decent coffee setup, proper parking — means you can focus on whatever brought you to Perth instead of wrestling with accommodation hassles. Sometimes the best places are the ones that just work without trying too hard to impress you.

Guest Reviews
Good location.
A good location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Easy to communicate with the owners. The apartment was comfortable enough although a bit dated. The wine was a nice touch too.
Very good
What could be improved: Ceiling fans would have helped, pedestal fans tricky in getting around the bed. Reverse A/C in living area
Quaint but it was perfectly located to see Perth and cities around it.
-Great location to see Perth, Frementle, all around Perth.
-Big living room for family/group.
-little balcony
What could be improved: -quaint design/beddings, loud AC, broken tv leg stand but didn’t notify guests, little bit dusty
-second floor but no elevator
-owner responds quick but seems occupied b/c things asked during our stay weren’t solved.
Superb
Nice and spacious and easy parking and access.
What could be improved: Only issue was the porta cot needed to be cleaned and I couldnt find the highchair. This was ok though as I had our own portacot and highchair in the car as a backup. I didnt use the portacot in the room as the mattress had some marks on it. This didn't put me off though. Something I feel the cleaners wouldn't even think to check.
Flying visit to Perth
Location close to shops, restaurants, bars and Transpertg railway station
What could be improved: Aircon only in sitting room, fans in bedroom
Location was excellent.
Location, comfortable beds
What could be improved: Lounge chairs looked lovely but their cushions required re placing as they had no cushioning. Differing times for check out time, initial booking via internet suggested 11.00 am when actual time for check out was 10 am.
Nice clean apartment
Everything we needed
What could be improved: Pool and spa wasn't open
Nice stay. Good location.
Good location
What could be improved: Although I appreciate the host may have had some issues with previous tenants, I was not very comfortable having to provide electronic forms of identification which potentially could be used for identification theft in this day and age. Also the threat of a retrieval administration fee if a photo of the returned keys to the key lock was not provided.
Very good
It was all lovely
What could be improved: Just a thought but would be nicer having cotton sheets on the beds as nylon is too sticky to sleep in this climate.
Cotton gives a higher standard of service and they don't pill like the nylon sheets that were on our bed.
Other than that it is well set out and had everything we needed. Thankyou.
Great location
Great location , close to kings Park, train, cafes
quiet and car park big plus .
What could be improved: Shower recess needs a freshen up
Little worn and tired in parts of the unit
