The B&B sits on this quiet tree-lined street where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, which is pretty rare for Perth these days. The hosts here actually know what they’re doing – they’ve got that sweet spot figured out where they’re friendly and helpful without hovering around making you feel like you’re staying at your aunt’s house. The rooms are properly comfortable (I’m talking quality mattresses and decent water pressure), and the breakfast is the kind where you linger over your coffee because everything’s made fresh and they don’t rush you out the door. What I really appreciated was the little touches – proper blackout curtains if you need to sleep in, a decent desk if you’re traveling for work, and they actually stock the coffee supplies instead of giving you those sad little packets.

The location is honestly better than you’d expect. Sure, you’re not walking distance from the Swan River or anything, but there’s a decent shopping center just down the road, and if you’re driving (which let’s be honest, you probably are in Perth), you can get to the airport in about 20 minutes or into the city center in 15. Plus parking is never an issue here – try getting that at a city hotel for the same price. The neighborhood feels safe enough that I was comfortable walking around in the evenings, and there are some surprisingly good local restaurants within a few blocks if you don’t feel like driving into town for dinner. The whole setup just works really well if you want somewhere quiet to come back to after exploring Perth, especially if you’re not the type who needs to be right in the middle of everything. For a 4-star place, it punches above its weight – that 8.7 rating isn’t just because people were being nice.
