Overview
Look, I’ll be straight with you about EAST34 – it’s one of those places that actually gets the balance right between being fancy enough to feel special but not so polished that you’re afraid to touch anything. The moment you walk in, there’s this clean, modern vibe that doesn’t scream “corporate hotel,” if you know what I mean. The lobby has these floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Perth skyline perfectly, and honestly, I found myself just standing there for a minute taking it in.
What really sold me on this place is the location – and I don’t mean that in the typical “convenient location” way everyone says. East Parade is actually perfect because you’re close enough to the city that you can walk to places like Northbridge or the CBD without breaking a sweat, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise or drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The Swan River is literally right there, which means morning runs along the foreshore or evening walks when the city lights start reflecting on the water. There’s something about waking up to that view that just… well, it sets the right tone for the day.
The rooms themselves are spacious – I mean actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious where you can barely open your suitcase. The beds are solid (firm but not rock-hard), and the air conditioning actually works properly, which is crucial during those Perth summers when it hits 40 degrees and you feel like you’re melting. What I appreciated most were the little details that show someone was thinking: USB ports where you actually need them, a coffee machine that doesn’t require an engineering degree to operate, and blackout curtains that actually block out light. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that makes you want to stay in there way longer than necessary.
Staff-wise, they’re helpful without being overly chatty – you know, that sweet spot where they remember your name but don’t try to have a full conversation when you’re clearly running late for something. Check-in was smooth, and when I had questions about where to grab decent coffee nearby (there’s a great little place called Crema Coffee just a short walk away, by the way), they had actual recommendations instead of just pointing to the hotel restaurant.
The only minor thing I’d mention is that parking can be a bit tight during busy periods, but honestly, that’s Perth for you – and the hotel does have secure parking available. The breakfast spread is solid too, though I found myself venturing out most mornings because the area has some really good cafes within walking distance.
At the end of the day, EAST34 feels like what a 4-star hotel should be – comfortable, well-located, and run by people who actually care about the guest experience. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. If you’re looking for a base to explore Perth without the downtown chaos, this is your spot.

Very very peaceful. During my stay the sky was so clear, I could see the milky way.
My sister stayed with Rachel last year and highly recommended it to us. Her place is clean and comfortable to stay. Airy
Convenient location. Clean. Host replies fast and accommodating.
What could be improved: Kettle was slightly black at the base hence we didn’t use it.
No standalone dryer although there was a 2in1 dryer washer but it couldn’t dry the clothes well.
Very spacious apartment with good views.
The location and views. Apartment was a good size for 4 adults and a child. Enjoyed the large balcony.
What could be improved: The 2nd bathroom had a bad odour. Kitchen pots and pans need updating.
Superb
nice placce to stay and relax
Great spot for that quiet weekend away but still in the middle of town
The view was amazing. We forgot it was fireworks weekend and had a perfect view from the comfort of the balcony for them. Perfect spot. We are looking forward to booking again
What could be improved: We were given old instruction for key pick up which had us driving to different location in town, but once we reached the host she sent us correct details directly to mobile and we were all sorted
We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed all the extras made available like rice cooker, books
Beautiful bright and comfy
What could be improved: Bathroom sink not draining
