Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Studio Apartment in East Perth on Goderich Street, you immediately get that “this could actually work” feeling. It’s one of those places that hits the sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment living — you know, where you can spread out a bit without feeling like you’re camping in someone’s spare bedroom. The building itself is modern without being flashy, and honestly, the fact that there’s parking right on site already puts it ahead of half the accommodations in Perth.
Location & Getting Around
East Perth is actually a pretty smart choice if you want to be close to everything without dealing with the chaos of the main CBD streets. You’re literally a ten-minute walk to the city center, but it’s quiet enough that you can sleep with the windows open. The Swan River is right there too — I mean, you can walk to the water in about five minutes, which is perfect for morning runs or just clearing your head after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 8.0, which makes sense), probably because it feels more residential and less touristy.
The Space Itself
This four-star setup gives you what you’d expect from a proper studio — a real kitchen with actual counter space, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. The room layout works well; it doesn’t feel cramped even though everything’s technically in one space. There’s enough storage that you can actually unpack if you’re staying more than a couple nights, and the bed is positioned so you’re not staring directly at the kitchenette when you wake up (small detail, but it matters).
Practical Considerations
What I really appreciate is how they’ve thought through the practical stuff. The wifi actually works consistently — not always a given in Perth, honestly. The apartment comes with proper blackout curtains, which you’ll thank them for if you’re dealing with jet lag or just like sleeping in. The shower has decent water pressure, and there’s enough hot water for a proper wash after a day exploring the city. Plus, having your own space means you can grab groceries from the nearby shops and actually cook something instead of eating out every meal.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of independence and location really seems to work for people. You get the freedom of having your own place — making coffee when you want it, coming and going without lobby small talk — but you’re still close enough to walk to Northbridge for dinner or catch a show at the Perth Concert Hall. The fact that recent guests consistently rate the location so highly (8.0 out of 10) tells you something about how well-positioned this place really is. It’s that rare find where the practical stuff just works, and you can focus on actually enjoying Perth instead of fighting with your accommodation.

Guest Reviews
Pleasant
Location was great, and the apartment itself was cozy and well equipped. Host was responsive and all instructions were clear.
What could be improved: My boss booked this for me without realising the setup of the rooms, and it wasn’t refundable so nothing to do there. The shared bathroom and small lock between rooms weren’t clearly mentioned, which made me feel uncomfortable and with no privacy. The other guest would come back after midnight and make noise in the kitchen/slamming doors, so not the best sleep either. I would've mention it but wanted to avoid any issue with the other guest while staying there. The towels were smelly, and the building was a bit dirty, though that wasn’t the host’s fault. It could work well for someone booking the whole place, but this setup might not be ideal for everyone, especially at the price.
Enjoyable stay
Great location (near to bus stops) and facilities (kitchen, big TV with netflix, free wifi, shared washing machine etc.). My parents liked it, it was comfortable.
What could be improved: The room can be a little bit small for some, but it was good for me (4 persons with two bedrooms).
Pleasant
There was an ironing board. The space was well-laid out and worked well. Good storage, extra towel, good lighting to work by. I appreciated that the window opened, as I love fresh air.
What could be improved: The main building is pretty sketch, people smoking in the stairwells, littering, and late night noise in the halls. Kinda dirty & dingy in the halls, but the apt. was clean. The adjoining room people didn't share basic care of the bathroom (left empty TP, didn't wipe out shower or floor or empty the trash) but that's the throw of the dice
Good value, but beware of SHARED BATHROOM
Apartment just like the pictures, just big enough, clean sheets, comfortable bed. Although the shared bathroom caught me by surprise, I thought the way it was organized was very inventive hehe.
What could be improved: Be aware the kitchen AND BATHROOM are SHARED with another room, which should be advertised in the title, in my opinion. There'll be only a tiny manual lock preventing the other guests from going into your room.
Could be cleaner. The towels smelled brand new, i.e., smelled like store/dusty/never washed. The kitchen utensils were extremely greasy, I don't think it's a good idea to tell guests to dry and put dishes in the cupboard, because if it's not properly clean, it's going to be a bad surprise for the next guest. The pans need to be replaced. They're gross, unusable.
It was a pleasant stay
There was no breakfast.
What could be improved: Price is too high.
Good central location. Good for short city trips.
Excellent central location. Clean rooms. Had everything we needed for a short break.
What could be improved: Air con units were not very effective and required the window to be open which was quite noisy at night.
Good value
Really nice property, well equipped and in a great location
What could be improved: Fans provided, were not sufficient to cool the flat at night. Appreciate there is a heatwave. Struggled to sleep for the duration of stay
Pros and cons of living in a shared studio apartement.
I liked that i had my own space to do what i wanted location was good too. I like the Huge tv and that i could connect my account to watch my shows.
What could be improved: I had a hard time understanding where the lockbox was and how to get my key from the lock box. I didn't know the lock box was the letter box. The dryer malfunctioned so it ate up $8 before i switched to another dryer. The aircon machine in the room wasn't great i would have preferred an air con unit cause hot air was also coming out at the same time. The window in my unit wouldn't open so the air in the room was stagnant.
Exceptional
Awesome owners! Quick response to our expectations. It was clean and cleaned regularly.
Very good
I like the room and the facilities inside the room.
What could be improved: WiFi connection is not good. Too much disconnections.
