Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Seashore Memories – Sleeps 3 in Scarborough, I’ll be honest — the name had me curious about what kind of place this would actually be. This four-star property sits in one of Perth’s most beloved coastal suburbs, and you can immediately sense why couples are rating the location so highly. The fact that there’s parking right on-site is already a win in my book, especially since finding a spot near Scarborough Beach can be a real headache during peak season.
Location & Neighborhood
Scarborough has really transformed over the past few years — I mean, it’s gone from being a bit rough around the edges to this vibrant beachside destination that locals actually want to hang out in. You’re literally a short stroll from the beach, and the esplanade has this fantastic mix of cafes, bars, and that impressive playground if you’re traveling with kids. The bus connections into Perth CBD are decent too, though honestly, you might find yourself not wanting to leave this little coastal bubble. There’s something about the way the afternoon light hits the Indian Ocean here that just makes you want to stick around.
The Space
The apartment itself feels thoughtfully designed for a small group — hence the “sleeps 3” in the name, which is refreshingly honest about capacity. You’re not getting a massive space, but everything you need is there, including a proper kitchen setup that actually works for preparing meals. I appreciated that they didn’t try to cram in extra furniture just to fill space. The room layout flows well, and there are those little touches that show someone’s put thought into what travelers actually need — good lighting, enough power outlets, decent storage.
Daily Life Here
What I really liked was how easy it became to settle into a rhythm. You can grab coffee and pastries from the local spots along the esplanade, spend your morning on the beach, then come back to rinse off and maybe prepare lunch in your own space. The neighborhood has this relaxed energy that’s perfect for couples — no wonder they’re rating it 9.5 for romantic getaways. Evenings, you’ve got options ranging from casual fish and chips to that trendy restaurant scene that’s developed along the waterfront. The sunset views from the beach are honestly spectacular, and you’re close enough to walk down whenever the light starts getting good.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in Perth, but it nails what matters most — location, functionality, and that sense of actually living somewhere rather than just passing through. The 9.0 rating for location makes complete sense when you experience how walkable everything is. You’ve got beach access, dining options, and that free parking situation sorted, which removes a lot of the usual travel stress. It’s the kind of place where you can actually unwind and create those seashore memories the name promises — without feeling like you’re paying for amenities you won’t use.

Guest Reviews
would love to come again
it was perfect
What could be improved: all good
Pool was great for the kids.
The location, the pool.
What could be improved: No facilities for big luggages, you have to use the stairs. No air conditioning in bedrooms, no dishwasher. Basic kitchen staff and not actually quite clean. Kitchen cabinets smells a bit bad and the utensils and all in general is dirty and dusty. Other than that everything else was good.
Very good
Location & price
What could be improved: Wouldn’t hurt to upgrade dinner set and mugs/glasses very 70’s
Complex has strict noise guidelines how do you control other units with screaming kids and music from 6am
Fantastic location - easy to get yourself around, walk across the road to see the sunset.
Sent a code 72 hours before which was perfect as we didn’t get in from our Cairns flight until 1am in the morning.
What could be improved: Had trouble using the washer dryer combo. We couldn’t work the dryer part out. Maybe leave instructions for those who have never used one before.
Decent stay, could do with a revamp and a new hot water system
Location was great and the kids loved the pool slide, beds were comfy and the facilities were good
What could be improved: The hot water system is not great, followed the instructions of turning on hot first and only adjusting cold but even doing that it will drop in and out of hot multiple times during a 5 min shower. Wouldn't want to stay in winter. Also quite noisy at night with the bedrooms along the walkway and the bathroom sink was pretty dirty with old toothpaste stuck it when we arrived.
Acompanied our Granddaughter to Perth for National Taekwondo championship and enjoyed the location for our stay
Great location and spacious rooms
What could be improved: Found the hot water to the shower very temperamental
a great place for a short stay.
Great location and the room exceeded our expectations.
What could be improved: Access to the apartment had lots of stairs and was lots of levels.
Good
What could be improved: No laundry facilities in 219
No information booklet
Pleasant
Comfortable.
What could be improved: Couldn't switch on tv despite instructions
Very good
Location was perfect and the accommodation was a great size.
What could be improved: It didn't felt very unsafe due to the lock on the door. Someone also walked into the accommodation as their number for the code door was the same!!!
