Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels in Perth’s CBD, and Quest West End actually gets it right in ways that surprised me. It’s tucked into Murray Street – not the flashiest strip, but honestly that works in its favor. You’re close enough to walk to Forrest Place or the shopping precinct without dealing with all the Friday night chaos right outside your window.
The thing about Quest properties is they’re usually pretty no-nonsense, but this one has some character to it. The lobby doesn’t try too hard to be fancy, which I appreciate – just clean lines and that particular smell of good coffee from their little café area. What really sold me though was the apartment-style setup. I mean, having an actual kitchen when you’re staying more than a couple nights? Game changer. The staff seem to know their stuff too – when I asked about getting to Kings Park (because let’s be honest, everyone ends up there), they didn’t just point vaguely west but actually explained the best walking route that avoids the hill climb.
The rooms themselves are bigger than you’d expect for the price point, and the beds are solid – not those weird too-soft hotel mattresses that leave you feeling like you wrestled a marshmallow all night. Street parking can be a bit of a hunt during business hours, but there’s paid parking nearby and it’s way cheaper than some of the fancier hotels closer to the river. You know what I really noticed? The sound insulation is actually decent. Murray Street gets its share of traffic, but you’re not lying there counting every truck that goes by at 6 AM. The neighborhood itself is sort of in transition – you’ve got some great little bars and restaurants opening up mixed in with the older office buildings, so it feels like you’re staying somewhere real rather than in some sanitized tourist bubble. If you’re planning to explore beyond the CBD, you’re well positioned here – easy access to the freeway without having to navigate through the city center, and the train station is close enough to walk when you want to hit Fremantle or the beaches. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers exactly what it promises and then some.

Guest Reviews
Great location and very comfortable family stay.
Easy to find, very clean! The kitchen was well equipped (even with a teapot - fabulous!) and a full laundry was also great.
What could be improved: Nothing - it was just what we needed.
A place to choose in Brisbane
Fairly large apartment close to the river and many attractions The view from the 27th floor was magnificent. Interesting security: touching a key to a lift button gives a choice of only selected floor and then directs to one of very fast and silent lifts. Despite many events around, pretty quiet. Well equipped kitchen. No breakfast but many places available nearby, including grocery stores.
The apartment was very clean, and the location was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff too.
The apartment was very clean, and the location was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff too.
What could be improved: There wasn’t much sound proofing from the sound of the lift. You could easily hear it operating while trying to sleep.
Fabulous
Had everything you needed
What could be improved: Nothing
Enjoyable.
Location was good - just that there are 2 steps at the entrance of the apartment block, so would need to hoist suitcases up.
Interior of the apartment was clean and nicely furnished.
What could be improved: Bathroom - the shower head would spurt water out and the floor outside the shower area would be soaked. The glass "wall" should be made longer or there should be a door to the shower area to help minimise the shower water seeping out into the bathroom floor.
Parking is a block away so need to walk a little bit.
Had a wonderful stay
Location was great
Highly recommend!
Lovely & clean, with great facilities. In a convenient location.
Easy walk to pubs and shops. Parking was available nearby at $25 a night which was great.
Good location. Friendly staff. Plenty of room in the 2 bedroom apartment. Lovely fresh reno'd bathroom. Everything clean.
What could be improved: Slightly noisy in the morning. But otherwise fine.
Was our 1st stay in Perth and we were really happy with our stay.
Layout and spaciousness of the room. Very comfortable for a family of four. Location was perfect for our itinerary. Staff were all very friendly and chatty.
What could be improved: The open shower is a bit messy
Good hotel apartment
The hotel is in a good location in the CBD. Lovely apartment with a balcony.
What could be improved: It wasn't very sound proof.
