Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Quest East Perth? It’s actually got this great elevated position on Adelaide Terrace that gives you these surprisingly good views over the Swan River – something you don’t really appreciate until you’re up there with your morning coffee. I mean, when you first pull up, it looks like any other modern apartment-style hotel, but once you’re inside, you realize they’ve really thought about making the most of that riverside location.
The thing about staying here is that you’re basically living like a local for a few days. Each room is set up more like a proper apartment than a hotel room – full kitchen, separate living area, the works. Honestly, after a few nights of restaurant meals, being able to grab groceries from the IGA down on Hay Street and cook something simple was pretty refreshing. The kitchens are actually functional too, not just those tiny hotel kitchenettes with a broken microwave. And the washing machines? Game changer if you’re doing the whole East Coast road trip thing.
Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the CBD in about fifteen minutes (though let’s be real, it’s a bit of a trek in Perth summer heat), but you’re also right there for getting to the airport or heading out to the Swan Valley. The Causeway is literally around the corner, which locals will tell you is clutch for avoiding city traffic when you’re trying to get anywhere south of the river. Plus, you’ve got that lovely riverside walk right at your doorstep – perfect for morning jogs or evening strolls when the light hits the water just right.
I’ll be honest though, Adelaide Terrace can get a bit busy during peak hours, so if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. But honestly, by Perth standards, it’s pretty quiet most of the time. The staff seem to actually know the city well too – they pointed me toward this little coffee spot on Bennett Street that I never would have found otherwise, and suggested the best times to visit Kings Park (early morning, before the tour buses arrive, in case you’re wondering).
The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel, which is either exactly what you want or completely wrong depending on your travel style. If you’re the type who likes room service and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your vibe. But if you want to settle in somewhere for a few days and explore Perth properly – maybe catch a game at Optus Stadium, do the Fremantle day trip, or just figure out why everyone raves about the coffee scene here – Quest East Perth gives you that home base feeling without the commitment of actually renting a place.

Guest Reviews
lovely hotel
clean room and dinner and drinks upstairs
What could be improved: cant control the aircon/heat
no breakfast up stairs
The additional cost of $45 per night to have a sofa bed made up and room service didn’t even come to make it or replace
Property was nice, great location
What could be improved: The additional cost of $45 per night to have a sofa bed made up and room service didn’t even come to make it or replace towels , that was disappointing
Very good
It was peaceful
Happy to recommend.
Very clean, well serviced. Good friendly help at checkin.
What could be improved: A bit of plumbing noise.
Very good
Location fantastic
Good position, clean, would stay again
Clean, comfy bed, self contained and good position
Easy access, quiet accommodation, close to a variety of restaurants and a grocery shop.
Close to most facilities with easy walking distances. Very handy mini superette close by. Very helpful staff particularly as I made bookings for other family members as well.
What could be improved: We were dressing for a wedding just as housekeeping arrived so just swapped over towels etc. instead of asking to come back later but that was our fault. Otherwise the unit was very easy to keep clean anyway.
Very good
What could be improved: Would have been nice if the rooftop bar was open
A very enjoyable evening!
Convenient location; attractive setting and architecture The rooftop bar was a huge bonus! Great views.
What could be improved: There was a slight misunderstanding about obtaining linen for my son to sleep on the sofa bed; however, this was quickly rectified.
Precise and friendly staff made for a smooth stay with close by linked parking
Modern clean and nicely presented
What could be improved: Microwave placement caused head clash over sink area
