Overview
You know what? I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked into Ganesha Wellness Spa on Kensington Street β I mean, the name honestly made me think it was just a day spa, not somewhere you’d actually stay overnight. But this place surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked into this really nice stretch of East Perth that most tourists completely miss, which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to everything without dealing with the Murray Street crowds. The building itself has this calm, almost temple-like entrance that immediately makes you slow down and breathe differently. I loved how they’ve managed to create this genuine wellness atmosphere without going overboard with the crystals and wind chimes β it feels sophisticated rather than woo-woo, if that makes sense.
The rooms are where this place really shines though. Everything’s designed around actually helping you sleep better and feel more relaxed, which sounds obvious but you’d be amazed how many hotels miss this completely. The beds are seriously comfortable β I’m talking memory foam that doesn’t make you feel like you’re sinking into quicksand β and they use these gorgeous natural fiber linens that somehow stay cool even during Perth’s brutal summer nights. What really got me was the attention to lighting; there’s this warm, golden glow in the evenings that gradually dims as it gets later, and honestly, I slept better there than I have in months. The bathrooms are spacious with proper rainfall showers, and they stock these amazing locally-made toiletries that smell like eucalyptus and sandalwood without being overwhelming.
The spa facilities are the real draw here β I mean, this is where the “wellness” part actually lives up to its name. They’ve got this beautiful heated pool area that catches the morning sun perfectly, and the treatment rooms are genuinely peaceful (thick walls mean you can’t hear the traffic from Adelaide Terrace). The staff really know their stuff too β not just friendly but actually knowledgeable about treatments and what might work for different issues. I will say the restaurant gets pretty busy on weekends, so book ahead if you want dinner there. Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk to the Swan River, which is lovely for morning runs, and maybe fifteen minutes to get into the city center proper. Parking’s included, which is honestly a godsend in Perth. The 7.9 rating feels about right β it’s not perfect (the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some rooms, and the air conditioning is a bit loud), but it’s definitely a place that delivers on its promise of helping you actually relax and recharge.

Guest Reviews
Nice area, comfy and cozy place π
The room looked exactly like the picture, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was nice, the area is really nice, very pretty, easy check in, Iβd stay here again :)
What could be improved: Paying the bond is a bit confusing as I paid it but didnβt get a response for a few hours so was unsure if she had received it or not, also I had to ask to get the bond back two days later as itβs not stated how long after your stay you get it back but she cleared everything up when I reached out to her to ask her :)
Great location π for the Optus Stadium
Great location to Optus Stadium, Beautiful accommodation. Great value for money. Enjoyed the spa, and also great that the room had a mini fridge & kettle for that first morning cuppaπ...
What could be improved: The noise echoes from other room customers in the kitchen, & that was before 7am. However, I just blocked the noise out... and no car parking available with accommodation is a letdown, but we made it work... The spa and plumbing may need checking as I did mention to staff about a leaking spa. It also had an odour coming up from drain, but we left the plug-in to block it out... The fan extractions do need cleaning as both are full of dust. I just thought you should know... Other than that, thank you very much. We appreciate it.
Fabulous spot for our trip to watch lions play the force. Walking distance to Optus made it so much easier and Claisebro
Excellent spot, walking distance to Optus and claisebrook cove.
What could be improved: Shower pressure a bit low
Superb
The spa was amazing .
Nice stay just look at the rules so you donβt get charged for items
The kitchen was good. The hot water was awesome
What could be improved: The room was very small no room to move around to much. The rules are a bit over the top example if you leave lights on in your room you get charge $50. Can go in the kitchen till 9 am in morning for breakfast but we are early people.
Clean, comfortable and good location.
Quiet location, quiet hotel, clean comfortable room
What could be improved: two flights of stairs to rooms.
Superb
It was very comfy, quiet and the room was dark in the morning. Bathroom was nice. The common area are really good. The owner was really helpful with the luggage.
What could be improved: Maybe you should give more information about the breakfast. There was a lot of stuff in the fridge and we didn't know what we were allowed to take.
Excellent
Great bed
What could be improved: Stairs. No good for disability
Very good
What could be improved: Wifi only works in the common area
Central, great walks and close to optus stadium
I was at the property for three night but in saying that it was fly in fly out, I didn't see any staff due to my schedule I was able to check in and out with ease
Location ti optus stadium was amazing
What could be improved: You would have to have an idea where you're going to eat Ganesha is a small walk to every thing you need just make sure everything is open close walk to restaurants. Petrol station, IGA and central by car to the city and airport . These are positives just know the open and closing times
