Overview
You know what caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting just another generic apartment rental, but walking into this Hay Street spot actually felt like stepping into someone’s well-loved home rather than a sterile Airbnb. The city views aren’t just marketing fluff either – you’re right in the thick of Perth’s CBD, and honestly, watching the city wake up from those windows with your morning coffee is pretty spectacular.
The two bedrooms are genuinely spacious (I mean, for CBD standards), and whoever set this place up clearly knows what travelers actually need. There’s proper blackout curtains – thank god, because Perth sun is no joke – and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get stuck with. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup; it’s got everything you need if you want to cook instead of eating out every night, which your wallet will definitely appreciate in this part of town. The living area flows nicely too, and you can actually spread out without feeling cramped, which is saying something for a CBD apartment.
Location-wise, you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Murray Street Mall, and if you’re into the coffee scene – which, let’s be honest, is mandatory in Perth – there are some seriously good cafés within stumbling distance. The apartment sits right where you can easily walk to most of the main attractions, but here’s the thing nobody tells you: Hay Street gets a bit lively on weekend nights, so if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. It’s not terrible, just… energetic. During the week though, it’s actually pretty peaceful.
I stayed here during one of Perth’s busier periods and the check-in was smooth, no weird key pickup dramas or confusing instructions. The building itself feels secure, and there’s decent natural light throughout the day, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to work or just relax. The whole setup just works – it’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable enough that you don’t feel like you’re roughing it, but authentic enough that you’re not paying through the nose for unnecessary luxury touches. For a 4-star rating with an 8.5 score, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any unpleasant surprises.

Guest Reviews
Value for money, while furniture is dated and some of the facilitates were old, its value for money for the location.
Great location, with red and yellow cat just walking distance away. Multiple playgrounds near the property too. Nice layout of the apt with working appliances.
Responsive mgmt.
What could be improved: Bathroom was a little moldy. Kitchen utensils were rather worn eg non stick pans and chopping board were very scratched. Towels had old coloured stains. Walls a little thin.
It was a little weird that check in instructions was made available only the night before. However, the instructions were clear.
Cozy and spacious apartment for a week, in a great location.
It really is cozy and great for a week stay. Great there was air con in each room. Comfortable beds (if you like soft), block out curtains and comfy lounge setting with smart TV, dining table, ample space for the 3 of us. Thank you for leaving detergent for both washing machine and dishwasher. Within about a 20-30 minute walk to lots of eateries, Elizabeth Quay and we even walked back from Optus Stadium.
What could be improved: There was an odd smell in the building but not in the apartment. More like rooftop rather than city views, but still ok. No baking dish for the oven and heavily scratched frying pan which we couldn't use. Had to clean the other pots first before using. Other than that, a great little apartment for the week. Host accepted the feedback well and hope has fixed these things up.
Heerlijk appartement voor een paar dagen Perth!
Ruim appartement, goede faciliteiten (incl wasmachine en droger).

Fabulous
Superb
Great stay, spacious room in the middle of the city
Information package was detailed as to how to get the key and information around the unit. Very central, small walk to a really good corner store (the rise) who also have a great Cafe next door.
Everything in the room was catered for, including s Broom, mop and bucket and even down to a lighter in case you needed it. Everything was as listed on the booking and I received an email welcoming me as well as one on steps to do when leaving. Helped me make a little check list to make sure everything was done.
What could be improved: I have to admit, I did think I had booked it through the Mantra so this was a little confusing at first, but once I had the email details about how to access the key and what not the rest was good. Not the owners fault, but there was roadworks out front of the building on the day we left which made trying to a leave a lot more difficult than anticipated. If we knew there were going to be road works, I probably would have put most of my bags in the car over night and just checked out earlier.
There was a strange smell like someone had cooked dirty oil in there, we couldn't get rid of the smell. Even purchased some room deodorisers to try reduce the smell. Got used to it after a while but I have to admit, the smell wasn't pleaent when I got there. I did email the owner but there was no response about the smell. That's just me being nit picky though. The room was perfectly clean and everything else.
Great location, value for money, clear instructions to get into/out of unit
Location is central, there is a bakery downstairs, so many shops around (massage, hairsalon, restaurants, cafes etc) - all walking distance, value for money. Good for solo travellers. All amenities are there. I really love the washing machine & dryer as it helps to do laundry at home instead of going out to use a laundry shop
What could be improved: My apartment was changed from 2 bedroom to 1 bedroom a few days before I travelled to Australia. The 1-bedroom unit is ok BUT would have preferred a 2 bedroom as I was travelling with my son. Fortunately, the host refunded the difference, Aside from that, it was a wonderful stay
Superb
Furtherest room away from everyone, the view was good. Host responded on time and extended check out which was a big bonus.
What could be improved: Would've like a chopping board
Superb
Great location with the free red cat bus just metres up the road.
What could be improved: We had an issue with the keys, and it was eventually sorted. This place would have been perfect if the windows could have been opened, there was a bug screen on the balcony door, and there were two bathrooms.
Cooking in the apartment left odours in the space which was difficult to remove due to the above issues.
