Overview
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of serviced apartments around Perth, and Baileys on Bennett Street actually gets it right in ways that matter. The building itself isn’t going to win any architecture awards – it’s got that practical, no-nonsense vibe that screams “we’re here to solve your accommodation problems, not impress your Instagram followers.” But honestly? That’s exactly what you want when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights.
The location is what really sold me on this place. Bennett Street puts you right in the thick of the CBD without being on one of those crazy busy main drags where you can’t sleep past 6 AM because of the garbage trucks. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Murray Street pedestrian mall, and I mean an actual five minutes, not that inflated “five minutes” that hotel websites love to throw around. The Hay Street end is close enough that you can grab decent coffee from that little place on the corner – you know, the one that actually knows how to make a flat white. Perth’s restaurant scene has really picked up in the last few years, and from Baileys you can walk to most of the good spots without needing to figure out the bus system or pay for parking.
What I really appreciated was how the apartments feel like actual living spaces, not hotel rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner. The kitchen has proper counter space and a full-sized fridge, which sounds boring until you realize you can actually cook a real meal instead of surviving on room service and takeaway. The washing machine situation is a game-changer too – being able to do laundry without hunting down a laundromat or paying hotel prices makes longer stays so much more manageable. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building, which isn’t always a given in Perth’s older buildings where the internet seems to die if you move three feet from the router. I spent plenty of time working from the living room without any connection drama, and the cellular reception is decent too, even on the lower floors where it sometimes gets sketchy in the city.
The staff actually seem to know what they’re doing, which is refreshing. Check-in was straightforward, and when I had questions about parking (because Perth CBD parking is its own special kind of nightmare), they gave me actual useful advice about the nearby options instead of just shrugging. The building’s pretty quiet overall – you might hear some street noise if you’re a really light sleeper, but nothing like what you’d get on one of the main streets. The 8.1 rating feels about right to me. It’s not luxury, but it’s solid, practical, and in a spot where you can actually enjoy Perth without spending your whole budget on taxis or stressing about logistics. If you need a place to properly settle in for a work trip or extended stay, this is the kind of place that just works.

Guest Reviews
Superb
Great location for the footy and close to airport
Would stay here again.
Very pleasant. Wouod happily stay there again.
Pleasant, comfortable, clean apartment, with spacious, breezy balcony. Excellent location for East and central Perth city activities. Close to lovely parks, cafes, and delightful riverside paths. Very friendly and helpful staff.
What could be improved: The little gym didn’t have equipment suitable for me (a middle-aged woman who does strength training regularly). But that wasn't a big deal.
Close to Perth attractions and staff are amazing
Baileys Serviced Apartments has excellent staff who go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Every time we passed the main desk Raj was so friendly and asked if there was anything he could do to help us. Recommended places to visit in our travels and was very helpful.
What could be improved: Everything was very good. We booked a studio room which are smaller than their apartments but all are great value for money and very central to Perth CBD. The bus stop is right outside and most things like the mint are within walking distance.
Spacious, great views, incredibly accommodating staff!
The apartment was spacious and clean, 2 large tvs, the main having wifi access. Washer dryer combo and full kitchen.
My room had a massive balcony with beautiful views of the city skyline.
The best part of my stay was the lovely staff, specifically Raj, the manager who made me feel welcome who was super friendly and always smiling.
I will absolutely stay here again!
What could be improved: Some loud noises from the street at night but to be expected in the city
Small room
Easy to find, great parking area.
What could be improved: The room was really small without a desk or small table and chair.
We will be back
Great location and now love that there is some nice restaurants 100m away
What could be improved: Was all great
Good clean and accommodating
Nice and easy
What could be improved: Nothing
Great location with excellent Italian restaurant right next door
Great city views from our floor level
What could be improved: Nothing of note
Very good
Beds are very comfortable
What could be improved: Showers are poor and there is no dryer
Very good
Friendly helpful staff
