Overview

First Impressions

The Apartment with City Views in East Perth sits right on Hay Street, and honestly, the location alone makes this place worth considering. When I first walked up to the building, I wasn’t blown away by the exterior — it’s modern but pretty understated. What actually caught my attention was how quiet it felt despite being smack in the middle of everything. You know what really surprised me? The elevator ride up gives you these little glimpses of the city that hint at what’s coming when you reach your floor.

The Apartment Layout

Step inside and you’ll immediately notice how the space flows — there’s this open-plan feel that makes the apartment seem bigger than it probably is on paper. The kitchen is actually functional (not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes that’s more for show), with enough counter space to spread out if you’re planning to cook. I mean, the appliances aren’t fancy, but they work well enough. The living area connects naturally to where those city views really shine through — floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Perth‘s skyline pretty nicely, especially in the late afternoon when the light hits just right.

Location Perks

Being on Hay Street puts you within walking distance of basically everything you’d want to explore in the CBD. The Swan River is literally a few minutes’ walk south, and I found myself heading down there most mornings just because it’s such an easy stroll. What’s really handy is how close you are to the train station — you can catch the line out to Fremantle without any hassle. Recent guests have been rating the location pretty highly (around 8.0), and I get why. It’s that sweet spot where you’re central but not dealing with constant street noise.

The Room Experience

The main room setup works well for couples — there’s enough space to not feel cramped, but it still feels cozy rather than cavernous. The bed faces those city views, which sounds cheesy but actually makes a difference when you’re winding down for the night. Storage is adequate, though not excessive — you’ll want to pack light if you’re the type who brings half your wardrobe. The bathroom is clean and modern, with decent water pressure (always a relief). Air conditioning keeps things comfortable, which you’ll appreciate during Perth’s warmer months.

Why Guests Love It

This four-star spot seems to hit the mark for people who want independence without sacrificing location. Couples especially seem drawn to the place — there’s something about having your own space with those views that feels more special than a standard hotel room. The building offers parking (though you might want to confirm availability when booking), which is honestly a huge plus in this part of the city. While the overall guest rating sits at 7.1, what stands out is how consistently people mention feeling comfortable here. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top — just a solid, well-located place where you can settle in and explore Perth at your own pace.
