Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “73 Peaceful &private 2brparkng” listed, I thought it was some kind of typo situation. But actually staying at this Hay Street apartment completely changed my perspective on Perth CBD accommodation. The name might not win any marketing awards, but the place itself? It’s exactly what it promises.
The location is pretty brilliant if you know Perth at all. You’re right on Hay Street, which means you can walk to literally everything – Murray Street Mall is maybe three minutes away, and you’re close enough to the train station that you can hear it but not so close that it’ll wake you up at 6 AM (learned that the hard way at other places). What I really appreciated was the parking situation, because honestly, trying to park in Perth CBD is usually a nightmare that costs you half your travel budget. Having a guaranteed spot meant I could actually explore without constantly checking parking meters or walking six blocks back to my car. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel – there’s this lived-in quality that’s actually really comfortable. The two bedrooms are properly private, not just divided by some flimsy partition wall, and the whole space has this quiet atmosphere that’s pretty rare for city center accommodation. I mean, you’re still in the CBD so you’ll get some street noise, but it’s more like a gentle urban hum than the chaos you’d expect.
You know what really sold me though? The little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The kitchen is set up so you can make real meals, not just heat up instant noodles. There’s decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every twenty minutes, and the air conditioning actually works – which, trust me, you’ll appreciate during Perth summers. The whole place just feels thoughtfully put together rather than thrown together to maximize bookings. I stayed there during a pretty busy weekend and never felt cramped or like I was missing out on hotel amenities. Sometimes these apartment-style places can feel a bit isolated, but being right on Hay Street means you’re in the thick of everything when you want to be, and you can retreat to your peaceful little space when you need to recharge. For the price point and that 8.3 rating, it makes total sense – it’s not trying to be fancy, just genuinely comfortable and practical.

Guest Reviews
Very good
The location is great - it is in the part of Perth where it is free to travel with the buses to the city center. Nice coffee places in the area, playground almost next door. The place itself is clean, spacious and well maintained.
Very good
What could be improved: Gym could not be used.
Holiday apartment
Location good. Free parking very good. Liked having 2 toilets. Starting complementarity items great.
What could be improved: Aircon only in lounge room. Aircon did not cool down bedrooms. No fan or air-conditioning in bedrooms and it was hot. No lift to 6th floor, carrying bags up a flight of stairs not ideal.
Exceptional
The location is great. Just super.
The rooms are clean. Enough dishes.
What could be improved: Dirty windows. The window in the bedroom does not open.
Exceptional
The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
Home away from home
Close to Red Cat. Close to Perth Station. Safe location. Near to lots of parks and playgrounds. Complete emenities. Clean. Home away from home.
What could be improved: Lift only goes to lvl 5. The unit is on lvl 6. You have to bring all your luggages and stroller up a flight of stairs
Superb
It was a comfortable stay.
Very comfortable and central, had a great time. Access to apartment well secured (security card nee
Location was brilliant. Good value for money. Lots of room, very spacious.
What could be improved: Some things were a bit run down in apartment, eg around lock on door was unpainted, security gate to outside verandah not working, et, but overall very functional
Clean and tidy, great location, easy checkin
Great location
What could be improved: Was disappointed no access to pool and gym, was a really hot day in the Friday and access to pool would have been good, I understand this is not your fault as there was an issue with the pool but couldn’t really understand why gym was not available
