Overview
You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name makes it sound like some budget crash pad, but honestly, once you’re inside Unit 60, it’s actually a pretty solid setup. I mean, yeah, it’s right on Hay Street – which can get a bit hectic during the day with all the foot traffic – but that’s also exactly why the location works so well.
The thing is, most people don’t realize how perfect this stretch of Hay Street is for exploring Perth. You’re literally walking distance from the Cultural Centre (the art gallery’s just a few blocks east), and if you want to hit up Northbridge for dinner, it’s maybe a 10-minute stroll. I actually spent most evenings just wandering around because everything felt so accessible. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious – definitely not your typical hotel room situation. The pool area is probably the highlight, especially if you’re visiting during those brutal Perth summer months. I was there in February and honestly, that pool saved my life more than once when the temperature hit 38°C. The parking situation is clutch too, because let’s be real, finding a decent parking spot in the CBD can be a nightmare, especially around the train station area.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it got at night, despite being right in the middle of everything. I was worried about street noise, but the unit faces away from the main traffic flow, so you get the convenience without the constant honking. The whole building has this sort of modern apartment vibe rather than feeling like a typical hotel – which works if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. I ended up cooking breakfast a few times instead of going out, which saved some cash and let me ease into the day. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. It’s not luxury, but it’s definitely not rough around the edges either. If you’re the type who wants to be in the thick of things but still have your own space to retreat to, this spot hits that sweet spot. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to the ferry terminal if you want to day trip over to South Perth or Rottnest Island, which is honestly one of the best parts about staying in this part of the city.

Guest Reviews
nice comftorble stay
nice and large unit. good location and parking. comftorble and the balcony
What could be improved: just one key card for the doors and lift .
Comfortable apartment in a great location
The beds were so comfy
Exceptional
The space is very spacious and comfortable, making it a relaxing place to return to after a day of sightseeing. It’s fully equipped with everything you need.
What could be improved: The kitchen utensils are too old and worn-out.
We had a great stay. Well appointed apartment, well positioned .
Great location.Comfortable beds. Comfortable couch. It had everything that we needed.
What could be improved: It wasn`t clear that it was the upper floor car park and the space was tiny, good job I can reverse .
Modern apartment with nice pool and garage. Comfortable bed and complete kitchen. Recommended!
Very new apartment with modern and functional structure. Nice pool and location close enough to the city. Quiet and good varanda.
Superb
Location and size of the apartment
What could be improved: Parking was a little tricky if you have a big car.
Great location, car parking, perfect for a family of 4 to explore the city.
Location was great for us. The apartment was as in the photos. Plenty of room for what we needed and clean.
What could be improved: The apartment is getting very worn and could use some
Painting/ wall cleaning and bathroom maintenance. It feels like a high turn over place which is fine but could do with some love. The car space seems small but of if you treat it like a parallel park and you will fit!
Would highly recommend staying here, we would happily stay again. Thank you for having us.
Great location, quiet, very comfortable and clean. Loved the extras that we didn’t need to purchase like oil, salt and pepper, laundry wash, soap, shampoo and conditioner.
What could be improved: Of no fault of the property owner, however one of the lift card readers stopped working the day after our arrival making a small nuisance of having to send 1 lift away in order to get the working lift to greet us.
The Tv remote battery needs replacing.
The lounge room balcony sliding door lock needs some readjusting as it doesn’t quite line up.
Superb
Clean, has parking, good location
What could be improved: blanket is not clean
Superb
Perfect place to stay with kids when exploring Perth. Free CAT bus to city centre nearby. Plenty of green spaces and playgrounds around.
What could be improved: No gym access despite a small gym on site.
