Overview
You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually delivers – it really is modern and genuinely quiet, which honestly surprised me because North Perth can get pretty bustling. The moment I walked into 30 Richmond Street, I could tell someone put real thought into the design without going overboard with that cold, sterile modern look some places have.
The location is sort of perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Perth rather than just visiting it. Richmond Street itself is this lovely tree-lined stretch, and you’re literally a three-minute walk from Angove Street where all the good stuff happens – I mean, you’ve got Petition Kitchen right there for breakfast (their coffee is seriously good), and if you’re into craft beer, Saint John Bar is just around the corner. The whole Angove strip has this relaxed neighborhood vibe that locals actually hang out in, not just tourists. I found myself walking down to the deli most mornings instead of eating out, which says something about how comfortable the area feels.
What really won me over was the attention to the little things that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The soundproofing is legit – even with Richmond Street being a main road, I barely heard traffic, and trust me, I’m someone who notices every creak and car horn. The kitchen setup is actually functional (I’ve stayed in too many places where the kitchen is just for show), and there’s proper storage space, which you don’t realize you need until you’re living out of a suitcase. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around North Perth will appreciate – that whole area can be a bit of a maze if you don’t know it.
The whole place has this calm, uncluttered feel that made it easy to unwind after days exploring the city. I spent quite a few evenings just sitting with the windows open, listening to the sounds of the neighborhood settling down – it’s got that residential rhythm that makes you feel connected to the place rather than isolated in a hotel bubble. The walk into the city center takes about twenty minutes if you’re feeling energetic, or you can catch the bus from the corner, though honestly, there’s enough good food and coffee within a few blocks that I didn’t venture into the CBD as much as I’d planned.

Guest Reviews
The accommodation set the scene for and amazing weekend.
The house was in amazing condition and in a superb location.
What could be improved: No milk for the coffee or tea.
Good
Great family house and ideal location.
Location was good. Very quiet area. Easy walk to shops, eateries.
What could be improved: Only six pegs in laundry. Had to buy extra pegs. No laundry basket to take out wet clothes to line. When getting keys from box large ant nest making it hard to extract keys and return keys. Placemats and coasters would be great to protect the wooden tables. Rubbish bin 3/4 full of general waste when we arrived.
