Nesuto Mounts Bay

Australia
8.3 Excellent
112 Mounts Bay Road, Perth CBD, 6000 Perth, Australia

Overview

You know what struck me first about Nesuto Mounts Bay? The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people live, not just where they sleep for a night. I mean, this isn’t your typical hotel setup – it’s proper apartment-style accommodation right on Mounts Bay Road, which honestly puts you in one of Perth’s sweet spots without the Kings Park tourist chaos.

The location is actually brilliant if you know Perth at all. You’re literally a five-minute walk to the Swan River foreshore, and I’m talking about the good bit where locals go for morning runs, not the crowded sections. Elizabeth Quay is right there too, but here’s the thing – you can walk to all the CBD action (maybe ten minutes to the main shopping on Hay Street) but you’re far enough from the weekend noise that you’ll actually sleep. The apartments themselves feel like someone’s well-appointed city pad rather than a hotel room that’s been cleaned 500 times. Full kitchens, proper living spaces, and – this matters more than you’d think – decent-sized bathrooms with actual counter space for your stuff. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit that had this lovely view toward the water, and while it’s not beachfront, you get glimpses of the river through the urban landscape that somehow work perfectly.

What really sold me was the practical stuff that travel sites never mention. Parking is sorted (and free, which in Perth CBD is like finding gold), the building’s quiet even though you’re on a main road, and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. The staff actually knew the neighborhood – when I asked about good coffee nearby, they sent me to this little place on Malcolm Street that I never would’ve found otherwise. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with flashy amenities, but that 8.3 rating makes sense when you realize how much thought went into making it actually livable. The kind of place where you can grab groceries from the IGA down the road, cook dinner while watching the sunset, and feel like you’re experiencing Perth as more than just another tourist passing through. Perfect for longer stays, but honestly, even for a weekend it beats the hell out of those cookie-cutter hotels where everything’s beige and the ice machine’s always broken.

Superb

Great location- walking distance to Elizabeth Quay station. There is also a free bus to station. Good value for money. We travelled with friends and stayed in 2 bedroom apartment, overlooking a private courtyard. Had an upgrade on 2nd night. We enjoyed our breakfast at the resturant. Very happy with our stay, helpful staff at front desk.

What could be improved: The apartment was clean and spacious. Very comfortable for 2 couples. Nothing we didn't like.

Very good

What could be improved: Put on the same floor as a noisy smelly group of teenagers.

Safe and secure apartment, great location, wonderful helpful and friendly staff.

Lose to centre of town. Easy access

What could be improved: Would have liked apartment cleaned at least once during our stay. Mainly to refill coffee and toiletries during our stay
