Overview
Look, I’ll be straight with you about The White Pearl – it’s one of those places that sounds almost too good to be true until you’re actually standing in that top-floor apartment watching the Indian Ocean stretch endlessly in front of you. The name’s a bit much, honestly, but the ocean views? They’re the real deal. You’re literally perched above Scarborough Beach, and I mean you can hear the waves from your bed, which is either perfect or potentially annoying depending on how you sleep (though I found it pretty soothing after the first night).
The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for what you’d expect in this part of Perth – Scarborough’s gotten pretty built up over the years, but being on the top floor means you’re above most of the noise from West Coast Highway. The whole area’s transformed since they redeveloped the beachfront, and honestly, it shows. You’re walking distance from all those new restaurants and bars along the Esplanade, plus the beach is literally right there when you want to escape the crowds. What I really appreciated was the practical stuff – decent parking (which, if you know Scarborough on weekends, is basically gold), and the check-in was refreshingly straightforward. No fancy lobby nonsense, just efficient and friendly.
Here’s what actually matters though – you wake up to that view every morning, and it never gets old. The apartment faces directly west, so yes, you’re getting those spectacular Perth sunsets right from your living room. The furnishing is modern enough without feeling sterile, and there’s proper kitchen space if you want to grab groceries from the IGA down on Scarborough Beach Road instead of eating out every meal. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but everything works properly and feels clean and comfortable. That 7.9 rating makes sense too; it’s solidly good without being perfect. I mean, the building’s got that slightly dated apartment-hotel vibe that you see a lot around here, but honestly, when you’re spending your days on the beach or exploring Fremantle and the city, you just want somewhere comfortable to crash. And the location – well, you’re 20 minutes from Perth CBD, close enough to Hillarys if you want the boat harbor scene, and you can walk to Trigg Beach if Scarborough gets too busy. It’s sort of the sweet spot for exploring this part of the coast without feeling stuck in tourist central.

Guest Reviews
Good
The view
What could be improved: Not enough hand towels.
Wow what a view
Loved the location all the amenities and the unit as a whole. Great views and walks and access to anything and everything. Will be back for sure.
What could be improved: Not dealing with a human face. Everything was computer or text done.
Scarborough delights
excellent location with great amenities
What could be improved: the view
We had everything required in the kitchen to be able to cook at home.
We loved the location and size of the property. It was very clean and well equipped.
What could be improved: The master bedroom doors to the living room. The tv sounded like it was in the master bedroom and the doors didn’t give much privacy.
Fantastic location, close to shops and beach. Everything you need close by and an amazing view.
Great location. The apartment had everything we needed.
What could be improved: Nothing
Would definitely stay again.
Excellent facilities & location.
What could be improved: The shutters were broken, so couldn't get full benefit of opening door & it was a little dangerous.
Wonderful spot on the beach, very comfortable and spacious
