Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Perth’s northern suburbs, and Quest Joondalup honestly surprised me. It’s tucked away on Boas Avenue – you know, that quiet street that runs parallel to the main shopping strip – so you get all the convenience without the traffic noise that plagues some of the hotels closer to Joondalup Drive. The building itself is pretty modern, nothing too flashy, but when you walk into the lobby there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about the design instead of just slapping beige paint on everything.
What really got me was how well they understand that most people staying here aren’t just passing through for one night. The apartment-style rooms are genuinely spacious (not that fake spacious where they show you photos taken with a wide-angle lens), and the kitchenettes are actually functional. I mean, you can cook a proper meal if you want to, not just heat up instant noodles. The staff mentioned that a lot of their guests are relocating for work or staying extended periods, and it shows – there’s a washer and dryer in the rooms, decent Wi-Fi throughout, and they don’t give you those tiny hotel towels that barely cover anything. The beds are comfortable too, though I’d say the pillows are a bit on the firm side if that matters to you.
The location is honestly perfect if you need to be in the Joondalup area. You’re literally a five-minute walk to Lakeside Joondalup shopping center – and I actually timed it because I’m obsessive like that. The train station is just as close, which is brilliant if you need to get into the city without dealing with Perth’s parking situation. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re so close to everything. The soundproofing is solid, and the area itself just settles down after about 9 PM. Parking is free and covered, which seems obvious but you’d be surprised how many places around here charge for it or leave you exposed to the elements. The whole setup just feels like they’ve thought about what business travelers and extended-stay guests actually need, rather than what looks good in marketing photos. With an 8.9 rating, I expected it to be decent, but it’s one of those places that actually delivers on the promise without any nasty surprises at checkout.

Guest Reviews
Exceptional
Beautiful hotel, stay there often, staff always so friendly and welcoming, on this occasion one of the front office staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, she even gave us a beautiful card and care package as she knew we were visiting Joondalup as our first grandchild was born. Highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely place!!
The room had a COFFEE MACHINE!!! Very clean and modern had everything you need for a comfortable stay
What could be improved: Nothing
Awesome local accomodation here..
I love the cleanliness of the quest Joondalup, friendly staff and well equipped rooms
What could be improved: Nothing
The stay overall was good.
Everything was as expected, friendly staff and well maintained rooms.
What could be improved: One of the occupants was making loud noises on the balcony while naked in the early mornings. Phoned reception but no answer. Found out when we reported that we should have phoned an alternative number. However the staff have dealt with the person as someone else also complaint. It might be worth having these numbers available for after hours on speed dial on the telephones. Not nice to experience this after a long flight.
9.5
Clean and comfortable
Clean modern and convenient location.
Clean modern. Good location.
Exceptional
Everything, it smelt fresh all over, the staff were very polite and helpful, the room was perfect, there was nothing to dislike.
What could be improved: Nothing, it's a credit to the management and staff for presenting something so polished and very comfortable, we will definitely be staying regular
Superb
I requested for a low pillow. It was already arranged before I checked in. Every other hotel I stayed...I have to again ask for it, despite informing them in advance
What could be improved: Limited off street parking
Superb
Clean and modern facilities... Really enjoyed the Nespresso machine
What could be improved: Their onsite car park could get full
This faciility met all our expectations.
We experienced easy access with street parking and a very lovely view of the Lake. Close to a number of meal choices.
What could be improved: Greatly satisfied with everything
