Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Perth over the years, but Picture Perfect Create timeless treasures on Seventh Avenue actually surprised me. The name’s a bit of a mouthful – honestly, I just call it “that place on Seventh” when I’m telling friends about it – but don’t let that throw you off. This 4-star spot sits right in the heart of things, and I mean that in the best way possible.
Walking up to the entrance, you get this immediate sense that someone actually thought about the details here. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feel that’s somehow both polished and comfortable – you know what I mean? Not sterile like some of the bigger chains, but not trying too hard to be boutique either. Check-in was smooth (I arrived around 3pm on a Thursday, so maybe I just hit a good time), and the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood when I asked about dinner spots. They pointed me toward this little place two blocks down that I never would’ve found otherwise.
The rooms are where this place really shines though. Mine faced west, so I got these incredible sunset views over the city – something you don’t always think about when booking, but it made such a difference. The bed was properly comfortable, not just hotel-room acceptable, and there’s enough space to actually unpack if you’re staying more than a night. What I really appreciated was the attention to sound – Perth can get pretty lively, especially on weekends, but the windows here actually keep the street noise out. I’m a light sleeper, so this matters more to me than it might to some people.
The area itself is perfect if you want to be close to everything without being right in the thick of the tourist madness. You’re walking distance to the main shopping areas, but Seventh Avenue has this more residential feel that makes it easy to grab coffee in the morning or find a quiet spot for dinner. There’s decent parking nearby too – not always guaranteed in this part of town, so that’s worth mentioning. I noticed they get busy during the summer months (well, Perth’s summer), so book ahead if you’re planning a December visit.
Honestly, the 9.3 rating makes sense once you’ve been there. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should. The kind of hotel where you don’t spend your time thinking about the hotel, if that makes sense – you’re just comfortable and can focus on actually enjoying Perth. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. And I’d probably recommend it to friends visiting the city, especially if they want something with character that won’t break the bank.

Intrinsically soulful and a deep reflection of the artistry and vibrance of its creator.
What was not perfect?
What was not to love?
An absolutely delightful place to step into. So perfect, I was almost afraid to touch anything.
A soulful blend of period, modern, and artistic charm. Beautiful quiet area. If I keep extolling the beauty and virtue of this home, I will lose any chance of ever booking into it again.
Congratulations on presenting this home away from home for us to enjoy.
Great accommodation with room to move for families
Great accommodation in fairly central location. Beautiful older house with new extension at back. 3 big bedrooms. Great kitchen. Good laundry room. Coffee shop nearby
What could be improved: No undercover parking. No comfortable seating outside. Having to pay deposit outside of booking.com. Getting texts during our stay to put bins out. Only one bathroom
