Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into Marvellous Mounts Bay 2br Apt, honestly, the name pretty much says it all — the views are genuinely spectacular. This four-star property sits right on Mounts Bay Road in West Perth, and you know what? The location alone makes it worth considering. I mean, you’re literally looking out at the Swan River and Perth’s city skyline, which is something you don’t get tired of, even after a few days.
The Space Itself
The apartment feels surprisingly spacious for a two-bedroom setup — I’ve stayed in plenty of cramped city accommodations, and this isn’t one of them. The kitchen is actually functional (not just a token kitchenette), which matters if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights or want to grab groceries from the nearby IGA. The living area flows nicely into the dining space, and there’s enough room to spread out without feeling like you’re stepping on each other’s toes.
Location Perks
West Perth is one of those neighborhoods that locals know is prime real estate — you’re close enough to the CBD that you can walk or take a quick bus ride, but far enough away that it doesn’t feel hectic. The property scored an 8.0 for location, and I get why. Kings Park is basically on your doorstep (seriously, it’s like a five-minute walk), and if you’re into morning runs or just want to escape the city buzz, that’s gold. Plus, there’s free parking on-site, which — trust me — is a huge deal in Perth where city parking can cost you a fortune.
What Works for Couples
I noticed this place gets a lot of love from couples, and after staying there, it makes sense. The master bedroom has those river views I mentioned, and there’s something pretty romantic about watching the sunset over the water from your own place. The second bedroom works well if you’re traveling with friends or family, but honestly, when it’s just two of you, it becomes extra space for luggage or a quiet spot to read. The whole setup feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room, which changes the entire dynamic of your stay.
Why Guests Love It
Look, with a 7.6 rating, it’s not perfect — I noticed the building itself is a bit dated, and the WiFi can be spotty in the bedrooms. But what this place does well, it does really well. You’re getting genuine Perth living in one of the city’s most desirable pockets, with views that would cost twice as much in a traditional hotel. The fact that you can cook your own meals, do laundry, and actually settle in makes it ideal for longer stays or when you want to experience Perth like a local rather than a tourist passing through. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

Guest Reviews
My stay the apartment in Perth was comfortable, secure, and conveniently located.
It is comfort meets convenience in the heart of the city. The apartment is spacious, clean with fully equipped kitchen.
What could be improved: None
Smaller than in photos but clean and comfortable
What could be improved: Strong smell of fried food all through the complex, 2 large stains on the carpet, toaster tripped the circuit and kitchen power off. Fixed switchboard and host sent another toaster. Nice little bar hidden beside liquor convenience store. Found by accident, good food and cocktails! Walking distance to Convention centre across road. Bars and restaurants up the hill behind convention centre. Very difficult to find key cards. Then fire alarm went off on 6th floor at 4am , noise was horrendous and ages to turn off!
Large, clean comfortable apartment for a family stay in Perth CBD
Large comfortable apartment in easy convenient Perth CBD location
What could be improved: A heater for the coldest nights would have made it a little more comfortable. Though it rarely gets that cold in Perth and generous blankets were provided so not uncomfortable.
Not great!!!
We didn't have breakfast. Trying to get into the apartment was a nightmare as we had to go into the underground car park to search for the key box and after a 30 hour journey and very unhelpful staff at the reception area it was the last thing we needed. There should have been someone there from Airbnb to let us in, it was the first time i had booked with Airbnb and it will be the last. Also one key between 3 of us was definitely not enough as we couldn't go out on our own if another had the key.
What could be improved: I specifically asked if there were 2 bathrooms in the apartment and i was told there was a bathroom plus en suite which was not the case, in fact there was one separate toilet with toilet pan and no wash hand basin and one bathroom with a bath and over head shower, wash hand basin and no toilet pan which I was extremely annoyed about as there were 3 adults in the apartment. I would not have booked the accommodation if I known there was only one toilet and and my 2 nieces who were with me felt exactly the same.
Superb
