Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into Large Luxe Penthouse fully equipped Perth CBD, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment rental in the heart of the city. But stepping into this four-star penthouse on the 8th floor of 201 Hay Street — well, it’s pretty impressive. The floor-to-ceiling windows immediately caught my attention, offering sweeping views across Perth that actually make you stop and stare for a moment. You know what really struck me? The space feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy or overdone.
Location & Getting Around
The location is honestly hard to beat if you want to be in the thick of things. You’re literally in the CBD, which means everything is walkable — Murray Street Mall is just a few blocks away, and the train station is close enough that you don’t need to think twice about getting to Fremantle or the airport. I mean, couples seem to love this spot (and I can see why), but it works just as well if you’re here on business or exploring solo. The building sits right on Hay Street, so there’s always something happening below, but the penthouse level keeps you above the street noise.
The Space Itself
What really sets this place apart is how well-equipped everything is. The kitchen has proper appliances — not those tiny hotel-style setups that make cooking impossible. I actually used it to make breakfast a couple of times, and it felt like being in a real home rather than a rental. The living area flows nicely into the dining space, and there’s enough room to spread out without feeling cramped. The bedroom is spacious too, with that same great city view, and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than I expected from a short-term rental.
Practical Considerations
Here’s something I appreciated — the building has secure parking, which in Perth CBD is actually a big deal. You don’t realize how much of a hassle street parking can be until you’re driving around the city center looking for a spot. The apartment comes with all the basics you’d need for a longer stay: decent WiFi, a washing machine, and enough storage space that you’re not living out of a suitcase. The building itself feels secure and well-maintained, which matters when you’re staying somewhere new.
Why Guests Love It
I think what makes this penthouse work so well is that it gives you the best of both worlds — you’re staying in what feels like a proper home, but you’re right in the center of everything Perth has to offer. The views alone are worth it, especially in the evening when the city lights start coming on. Recent guests have been rating the location highly, and I get it — there’s something satisfying about being able to walk to dinner, grab coffee, or catch a show without having to plan transportation. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it.

Guest Reviews
Great value for money.
It was soooo spacious. Very large living areas.
What could be improved: Parking need building extremely narrow entrance/exit.
Parking further away not convenient to offloading luggage.
Good but...
The Key card reader did not work in the evening of the second day. No staff was reachable. More than 15 calls, also from the hotel staff. Luckily the hotel staff let us in after 3 hours of negotiation, even if they are not allowed to do it. Cloudbnb should allow them to do it in such cases...
Would recommend
Big, neat and affordable
What could be improved: Nothing
Superb
Nice large apartment for 6 adults. Everything we needed was available. Easy walk to CBD and Elizabeth Quay.
What could be improved: The 3rd bederoom was tiny for 2 adults.
Difficult to store and open travel bags.
Had to move beds to an angle to get the bedroom door open and to access the cupboard.
