Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Gorgeous Family House near Shops on Findon Crescent, I’ll be honest — the name had me a bit skeptical. But you know what? Sometimes the most straightforward names are exactly what you get, and this four-star place delivers on its promise. The house sits quietly in a residential neighborhood that feels authentically Perth, not touristy at all. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that locals actually live, and the free parking right on site was a relief after dealing with Perth’s city center parking situation.
The Neighborhood Feel
What struck me about this part of Perth is how it manages to feel suburban and accessible at the same time. You’re genuinely near shops — I mean, there’s a decent shopping area within walking distance, which is rare for vacation rentals. The couples who stay here clearly get it (the 9.4 rating from recent guests makes sense), because there’s something romantic about having your own space in a real neighborhood. I found myself grabbing coffee from the local café in the morning, and honestly, it felt more authentic than any hotel breakfast experience I’ve had.
Inside the Space
The room setup here is what makes this place work so well for couples or small families. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything you need is there and it’s clean and comfortable. The layout actually flows well — you can spread out without feeling like you’re living on top of each other. I appreciated having access to a proper kitchen area, which meant we could grab groceries from those nearby shops and actually use them. Small thing, but when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two, it makes a real difference.
What Sets It Apart
Here’s the thing about this place — it’s not going to wow you with amenities or fancy touches, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that a lot of pricier places don’t. The location really is excellent (that 9.4 rating isn’t just marketing), and I found myself appreciating how easy it was to get around Perth from here. You’re close enough to the action but far enough out that you’re not dealing with city noise and crowds when you want to relax. The whole setup just works, especially if you want to experience Perth more like a local than a tourist.
Why Guests Love It
I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something appealing about having your own house-like space without the isolation of being completely remote. You get privacy and independence, but you’re still connected to the city and its conveniences. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days and develop a routine, which is surprisingly rare with vacation rentals. The value proposition is solid too, especially when you factor in the parking and kitchen access saving you money on other expenses.
Hotels near me in Perth deliver quick trips to Fremantle markets, Indian Ocean beaches, and quokka encounters on Rottnest.

Good place near swan valley
This place was hard to beat for its price, cleanliness and location (near swan valley). The heater lights in toilets were awesome. The Lebanese restaurant recommended was certainly amazing. Home is modern with its simple furnishings.
What could be improved: Some leftover food in fridge was not so pleasant if shared with visitors.
Superb
Security cameras, clean and well lit
What could be improved: The aircon was very noisy.

Exactly as described. Convenient for a family stay when you have a car (good drive and garage).
What could be improved: Might benefit from more cutlery and crockery.
Amazing. Cozy, clean, convenient and perfect instructions from the owner.
Lovely property. All we needed to stay overnight in Perth. Everything was nice and clean.
What could be improved: We didn’t miss anything to be honest. Maybe a bottle of wine and some cheese in the fridge 😁
