Overview
First Impressions
I’ll be honest — when I first pulled up to Central Caravan Park on Central Avenue, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a straightforward caravan park. But you know what? Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that don’t try too hard to impress. This three-star property in Ascot has that unpretentious charm that actually makes you feel more relaxed than some of those overly polished hotels downtown. The welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for your entire stay.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about Ascot — it’s one of those Perth suburbs that locals know but tourists often overlook, and that’s honestly part of its appeal. You’re close enough to the city center that getting around isn’t a hassle, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos. The parking situation alone makes this place worth considering (and trust me, free parking in Perth is nothing to sneeze at). Couples seem to really get this location — there’s something nice about having a quiet base while still being connected to everything.
The Accommodation Experience
Look, this isn’t going to be your typical hotel room experience, and that’s actually refreshing. The caravan park setup means you get more space to spread out, which I found surprisingly liberating after staying in cramped city hotels. There’s something almost nostalgic about the whole setup — it reminds you that travel doesn’t always have to be about thread counts and marble bathrooms. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, which honestly is all you really need when you’re spending most of your time exploring Perth anyway. Each accommodation is thoughtfully arranged for maximum comfort.
Practical Perks
What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything was here. No complicated check-in procedures, no hidden fees for basic services — just simple, honest hospitality. The staff actually seem to know the area well, which is more valuable than you might think when you’re trying to figure out the best way to get to Fremantle or where to grab decent coffee in the morning. It’s that kind of local knowledge that makes a difference, especially when you’re not familiar with Perth’s layout. The on-site facilities are designed with guest convenience in mind.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I get why this place consistently gets good ratings from visitors. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — it’s just a solid, reliable place to stay that happens to be in a really good spot. The value is undeniable, especially when you factor in the free parking and the space you get compared to cramped city alternatives. Sometimes you realize that what you actually want from accommodation is just a comfortable, clean place to recharge between adventures, and Central Caravan Park delivers exactly that without any fuss. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend or an extended stay, you’ll find everything you need here.

Guest Reviews
Very good
Friendly, obliging staff.
What could be improved: Maybe they need more rubbish bins, always over flowing.
Good
Quite and relaxed
Close to airport
What could be improved: Actual shower in ensuite kept going from very to cold over and over
Superb
The staff were absolutely amazing. We booked the room for the wrong day, arrived late and they were still able to accommodate us without any issues. The room/cabin was huge and had everything you needed!
What could be improved: The fan in the bedroom was loud and the hot water took a little bit longer to warm up.
Very good
Nice place
What could be improved: Would of been good to have AC going upon arrival as it took a bit to cool don the unit
Cosy campground for THE summervibe
Perfect location with a local, nice vibe. Outdoor BBQ facilities are great.
Good
The location was great, staff were fantastic and friendly. We would definitely stay again if we were to go back to perth
What could be improved: Bedroom was a little on the small side, and the aircon didn't reach the bedroom, so it was a little hot at night. The porch was a little run down and needs some maintenance
Comfortable and convenient
Central Caravan Park is very central for Perth area.
What could be improved: Nothing
Enjoyed our stay. Didn’t see any staff. Bedroom is hot in summer
Close to the City
What could be improved: Can’t control the hot water in the shower tried for half an hour. No aircon in bedroom
Great!
Great location and so close to Airport and DFO.
Cabin was clean and spacious would definately recommend.
What could be improved: .
Over all we loved our stay and will bring bathers next time. The pool looked very inviting.
My daughter and I loved the location and the cleanliness of our cabin. She even mentioned that her family should stay here next time they were in Perth.
What could be improved: I would have loved locks on the fly screen doors, so I could leave them open to let the lovely breeze through.
We did find that the cabin became very cold at night, both of us needed the extra blanket even though the days were in the mid 20s. Not sure if they are insulated.
