Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Beach Break Iconic Scarborough, you immediately get that modern coastal vibe — it’s sleek without being stuffy, and honestly, the lobby feels like they actually thought about what travelers want. The four-star property sits right on West Coast Highway, which means you’re literally steps from Scarborough Beach. I mean, when couples are rating the location 8.5 out of 10, you know something’s working here.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re not stuck in some random suburb wondering how to get anywhere. Scarborough Beach is right there, and it’s one of Perth’s better stretches of sand without the crazy crowds you get at Cottesloe sometimes. The esplanade has decent cafes and that whole beachfront strip that locals actually use, not just tourists. Plus, getting into Perth city is straightforward enough, but honestly, you might find yourself just hanging around the area more than you planned.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows — which sounds fancy, but really just means you wake up to actual ocean views instead of staring at a brick wall. The setup is pretty smart too, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What surprised me was how quiet it stays at night, considering you’re so close to the beach and main road. The beds are solid (not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete), and the bathroom actually has decent water pressure, which you’d be amazed how often hotels mess up.
Practical Perks That Matter
You know what’s genuinely useful? The free parking on-site. I mean, anyone who’s tried to park near Perth beaches on weekends knows this is basically gold. No circling blocks looking for a spot, no feeding meters every two hours — just park and forget about it. The recent guest rating of 8.8 for location makes total sense when you factor this in, because let’s be honest, half the stress of beach hotels is dealing with your car.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. It’s a solid beach hotel that gets the basics right — great location, decent rooms, and those little conveniences that actually matter when you’re traveling. The staff seems to know the area well enough to point you toward the good coffee spots (there’s this place about two blocks inland that locals hit up), and they’re not pushy about upselling you on everything. For couples especially, there’s something nice about being able to walk to dinner along the beach, then come back to a comfortable room without any drama. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because, well, why complicate things when you’ve found something that works?
Hotels in Perth line sun-drenched esplanades, heritage laneways, and harbour precincts buzzing with craft breweries.

Guest Reviews
Great location with lovely interior. Exterior run down
Interior was clean, modern and very nice, everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped, bed was very comfortable. So close to the beach and great restaurants. Shops nearby.
What could be improved: Apartment grounds run down and not too nice, bit of a shock on arrival. Many stairs to get luggage to apartment. No good if you have mobility issues.
Great! Highly recommend. Great communication.
