The bed was one of those firm-but-not-too-firm situations that had me sleeping until 9 AM, which never happens.

There’s this little strip of shops about a ten-minute walk away where I grabbed groceries and felt like I was actually living in Perth for a few days instead of just passing through. Morning sounds are mostly birds and the occasional dog walker, not traffic or construction noise. The breakfast – well, it’s a proper breakfast, not just continental nonsense. Fresh fruit that’s actually ripe, eggs cooked how you ask for them, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since yesterday. I mean, for an 8.4 rating, you’d expect things to be pretty solid, and they deliver on that without trying too hard to impress you.
