The location was great but the house was disappointing

The location was excellent. This property seemed well priced, which was great, but the problems with the property made me wish I had booked another option.

What could be improved: Cleanliness. There were dishes in the cupboard that weren't clean - we had to wash them before use. There was a light in the food cupboard that was permanently on - there didn't seem to be a switch for it. Some of the soft furnishings should be thrown away - for example, the cushions and mat in the lounge room. They did not look or feel clean. The water tap in the kitchen is broken and pored water all over the kitchen. The shower was great when you were in it but it dripped continually after use. The bathroom sink and taps are terrible with large rust stains. The windows in the second bedroom don't seem to open which makes the room very hot. The house was noisy at night with other residents being in the garden - this was on week days.
