Overview
You know what caught me off guard about the Regal in East Perth? It actually feels like a proper apartment rather than just another hotel room with a mini fridge. I mean, when you’re staying at 20/11 Regal Place, you’re basically living in a residential building that happens to rent out furnished units to travelers – and honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well.
The location is one of those Perth gems that locals know about but tourists often miss. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from the CBD, but you’re tucked away on this quiet street where you can actually sleep without sirens and late-night revelers. The building itself is pretty modern – clean lines, decent elevators that don’t make weird noises, and you can tell they’ve put thought into the interiors. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup; it’s not just some token kitchenette, but a proper space where you can actually cook if you want to avoid eating out every meal (your wallet will thank you, especially with Perth prices). The living area flows naturally from the kitchen, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The Wi-Fi is solid too – worked perfectly for video calls back home, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I’ve stayed.
Here’s the thing about staying in East Perth versus right in the heart of the city – you get that neighborhood feel while still being close to everything that matters. Walk fifteen minutes and you’re at the Swan River, which is gorgeous for morning runs or just sitting with a coffee. The train station is close enough that getting to Fremantle or even out to the airport isn’t a hassle, but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant train noise. I stayed during a weekday and it was wonderfully quiet, though I imagine weekends might be a bit livelier with people coming and going. The building has decent parking arrangements too, which anyone who’s driven in Perth CBD will appreciate – street parking around there can be a nightmare. One small thing that stood out was how responsive the property management was; I had a minor issue with the air conditioning remote and they sorted it within a couple of hours. It’s those little touches that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere that actually cares about your experience rather than just collecting booking fees.

Guest Reviews
Very good
A discount was given to us for the incorrect listing.
The location was good very close to free buses etc.
What could be improved: Was not as advertised on booking.com ( no 2nd bathroom or dishwasher)
Good
Location was great for our needs
What could be improved: That on bookings.com it listed the apartment having 2 bathrooms and there was only 1 bathroom that is serviced by a very small hot water cylinder so we had to time manage showers between us. Also advertised was a dishwasher that the apartment did not have.
a nice and clean unit, great location.
Close, 2min walk, to free city or train station bus. Supermarket next street over. Very quiet locati
Great place, would recommend
Great location and well maintained / equipped for a family. Supermarket was near by with the city within a 10mins bus ride.
What could be improved: Was very hard to find the right lock box for the unit as it was not labeled with unit number.
Superb
Conveniently located, with Yellow CAT, grocer, pharmacy within 5 minutes walk.
What could be improved: The cleaning fee is I believe on high side
Exactly what we needed
Exactly what we needed.
Short, easy walk to and from Optus Stadium (a bit of a hill coming back)
Superb
とても良かったです。
部屋の中はとても綺麗で広かったので家族で寛げました。
洗濯機、乾燥機も洗剤が付いていて、使いやすかったです。
What could be improved: 全身が映る鏡が欲しかったです。
シャワールームに電気がなく少し暗かったです。
バスルームにタオルをかける所が少ないように感じました。ブッキングコムのサイトを見た時に2バスルーム、と書いてあったのですが1バスルームしかなかったので、書き方が分かりにくいと思いました。
最初の鍵の入っているボックスの開け方が分かりにくかったです。
Good
Very good location. Close to free bus. The free parking is convient although the gate to get into the car park is really narrow.
What could be improved: Internal is newly renovated. Very nice. But the building is a bit old and common area is also old.
