Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Nightcap at Belgian Beer Cafe feels like discovering a well-kept secret right in the middle of Perth‘s bustling CBD. This three-star spot sits perfectly at the corner of Murray and King Streets, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better location if you tried. The moment you step inside, there’s this relaxed pub atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease — it’s not trying to be fancy, but it’s got character in spades.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what really struck me about this place? The location is absolutely unbeatable. I mean, couples consistently rate it 9.4 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’re literally steps away from everything that matters in Perth — the shopping precincts, business district, and some of the city’s best dining spots. What’s even better is that you can walk to most attractions without needing to figure out public transport or worry about parking fees. The street corner position means you’ve got easy access in multiple directions, which actually makes a huge difference when you’re trying to navigate a new city.
The Room Experience
The room itself is straightforward but comfortable — exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star property. Nothing overly fancy, but everything works well and feels clean. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m pretty picky about this), and the windows let in decent natural light during the day. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of the CBD — you’d think there’d be more street noise, but the building seems to block most of it out pretty effectively.
The Belgian Beer Cafe Connection
Here’s where things get interesting — the hotel is connected to the Belgian Beer Cafe downstairs, which is honestly part of the charm. The restaurant serves up proper Belgian fare and has an impressive beer selection that locals actually frequent. I spent a couple evenings there just watching the mix of hotel guests and Perth residents, and it creates this authentic atmosphere you don’t always find in hotel bars. The staff moves seamlessly between the hotel and cafe operations, so service feels more personal than your typical chain property.
Why Guests Love It
The repeat guest factor here is really telling — there are apparently more return visitors than most other properties in the area, and after staying here, I can see why. It’s that sweet spot of being centrally located without the premium price tag of other hotels just blocks away. The 8.3 rating reflects exactly what you get: solid accommodation with genuine character in an unbeatable location. For travelers who want to be in the thick of things without breaking the bank, this place delivers on the essentials while giving you a taste of Perth’s local pub culture right at your doorstep.

Excellent Stay – Best Location, Great Service, and Super Clean!
We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of everything! The staff, Kylie were incredibly helpful , always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spotless and very well-maintained. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service. We can store our luggage before leaving the city....
What could be improved: Stairs..but we can manage .....
Definitely recommend for a cheap overnight stay. Would definitely stay again.
Clean. Comfy bed. Great location
What could be improved: Nothing
Great location, nice room, would stay again.
Great location, bed comfortable, clean.
What could be improved: Quite noisy, can hear people in other rooms, creaky floors, hear doors closing etc.
Very good
Very comfortable bed and extremely clean. A nice couple of pints of Stella and a amazing steak sandwich in the bar below before a great nights sleep. Great central location with everything within walking distance.
Fabulous value for money
So central. Clean and separate rooms
Lovely place, very clean and comfy. Just bring noise cancelling ear plugs and everything will be great.
The location is amazing, right at the heart of the cbd and walking distance from anything needed.
What could be improved: It does get a little noisy, but we were expecting since is literally on top of a bar, so not a issue really.
Great value for money, will stay again
Great location
What could be improved: We arrived within checkin time but still had some issues with self check in
Superb
One cup of free drink
What could be improved: The matress is too soft
Very good
The bed was very comfortable with great pillows, it was also very clean and not cramped. It was nice to have welcome drinks and the coffee with our breakfast was to die for !
What could be improved: Do not book if you can't do stairs with your luggage. The entrance was a little difficult, two flights of stairs. They do supply ear plugs because it can get a little noisy but it didn't bother me at all.
