Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hyde & Seek Parkside Family Stay on Vincent Street, you immediately get that “this is different” feeling. It’s not your typical hotel setup — honestly, it feels more like you’re staying at a really well-designed friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste. The building sits quietly in North Perth, and there’s something refreshing about how it doesn’t try too hard to announce itself.
Location & Neighborhood
Vincent Street is actually one of those streets locals know but tourists often miss, which works in your favor. You’re close enough to the city center that getting around is easy, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos. I mean, couples rate this spot highly for good reason — there’s a relaxed vibe here that just works. The parkside location isn’t just marketing speak either; you can actually see greenery from most windows, which is surprisingly soothing after a day of exploring.
The Space
What struck me most was how they’ve managed to make each room feel like an actual home rather than a hotel apartment. The design is clean without being sterile — you know what I mean? There are thoughtful touches everywhere, from the way the lighting works to how they’ve arranged the furniture. The kitchen setup is particularly smart; it’s compact but you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to. Storage space is generous too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying for more than a night or two.
What Makes It Special
This four-star property gets the family thing right without making it feel like a daycare center. The spaces are designed so adults can relax while kids have room to move around — that’s harder to achieve than it sounds. Recent guests consistently mention the location in their reviews, and after staying here, I get why. There’s something about being in a residential area that makes you feel like you’re experiencing Perth the way locals do, rather than just passing through as a tourist. The parking situation is straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Perth will appreciate.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 rating makes sense once you’ve been here. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top — it’s just really, really well done. Families appreciate having space to spread out, couples love the peaceful setting, and everyone seems to enjoy feeling like they’re staying somewhere with character. The staff clearly understand that good hospitality is about anticipating what people need without being intrusive about it. You leave feeling like you’ve discovered something special, which is exactly what you want from a place like this. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or an extended family vacation, this property delivers on every front.
Best hotels in Perth blend rooftop infinity pools, Swan Valley wine tastings, and chef-curated bush-tucker dinners.

Guest Reviews
Exceptional
Great value for money
Location, house had a warm homely feel and was close enough to catch a bus into central Perth
What could be improved: 特にないです。
Very good
Excellent location. Excellent property.
Excellent location with Hyde park across the road for young families. Beaufort Street a 5 minute walk for shops and bars. And next to bus link for those who need to get into central Perth.
What could be improved: The electric controller gate to gain access to the property was temperamental.
Central location next to Hyde Park but too noisy for us.
The location was very central to everything and next to the lovely Hyde Park. Very convenient. Spacious rooms. Property manager very responsive to our concerns about cleanliness and acted very quickly.
What could be improved: The traffic noise was almost constant, even throughout the night. If you are looking for a peaceful location, this is definitely not it.
The house was not very clean when we arrived with dirty marks on the walls and cobwebs in the corners. The shower next to the main bedroom appeared not to have been cleaned for weeks with soap scum, hair and mould on the tiles. We asked the property managers to send in a cleaner which they promptly did. The cleaner was a manager who was very apologetic, did an excellent job of cleaning and also said she would be speaking to cleaning staff about this. Her polite and professional manner and quality work definitely improved things.
We chose a home with kitchen facilities so we could cook our own meals. To our surprise we found only one saucepan and a few fry pans to cook with. Kitchen utensils could be better stocked.
Superb
Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay. Do get in touch with the property manager ahead on the check in process.
Good location. Clean. Responsive property manager whom u can reach via WhatsApp. Nice park facing the house …do explore. Check our Chu Bakery nearby. Very popular. Safe neighborhood. Lots of shops within 5 mins drive incl supermarkets…Coles and Woolworths.
What could be improved: Some minor maintenance ongoing eg side gate under repair. Tight turning into house from driveway but it’s ok. No attached bathroom for those looking for ensuite but 2 bathrooms for 3 bedrooms is nonetheless still ok. Bed and pillows on the softer side.
Overall a very pleasant stay. The children loved it. If I come back to Perth, I will stay here again. And I will recomme
Location was good. Close to the park, grocery store, restaurants and town. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious.
What could be improved: It would have been even better if
1) the place and wardrobes were cleaner
2) more towels were provided because we didn’t do laundry
3) toiletries like shower gel and hand soap were topped up.
Overall we enjoyed a wonderful stay & would definitely recommend to friends & family. A well presented & app
A well equiped property as per pictures, well presented & clean. Bonus was the awesome location on a lovely park.
What could be improved: Air conditioning was lacking power in the bedrooms. Was in the very high 30’s everyday with extremely warm/ humid evenings for our stay. I think either more vents are needed or separate split systems. Lack of sleep as rooms were very hot.
The only other problem was the front door lock it’s old and a bit stiff to use & also due to it closing on its own we got locked out and no phone number given as a contact & I had to call a locksmith at 11pm and cost $250. maybe a more user friendly modern lock required so this doesn’t happen.
