Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Club Wyndham Perth? The moment you walk in, it doesn’t feel like one of those cookie-cutter hotel chains – there’s actually some personality here. I mean, sure, it’s technically a Wyndham property, but the Trademark Collection thing really shows. The lobby has this sort of boutique vibe with local art on the walls, and honestly, the staff seemed like they’d been there long enough to actually know the neighborhood instead of just reciting rehearsed directions.
The location on Outram Street is pretty clever if you ask me. You’re technically in West Perth, which sounds fancy but really just means you’re close enough to the CBD to walk (maybe 10-15 minutes if you don’t mind a bit of a stroll), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with all the weekend noise from the entertainment district. There’s this great little coffee spot called Cafissimo literally around the corner – I stumbled across it on my second morning and ended up going back every day. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, nothing groundbreaking but everything works properly. The air conditioning is surprisingly quiet, which I appreciated since Perth can get pretty warm, and the beds are actually comfortable (not too soft, not too firm – that Goldilocks zone that’s harder to find than you’d think). What I really liked was the kitchenette setup – it’s not massive, but you can actually prepare decent meals if you want to save some money or just got tired of eating out every night.
Parking was straightforward, which honestly deserves a mention because finding decent hotel parking in Perth can be a nightmare. The gym is small but functional – nothing fancy, just the basics that work properly. The pool area is nice enough, though it gets pretty busy during peak times, so if you’re looking for a peaceful swim, early morning or late evening is your best bet. Staff-wise, they seem to have their act together – check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about getting to Cottesloe Beach, the front desk person gave me actual useful advice instead of just handing me a generic tourist map. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises without any major disappointments. For the price point, especially if you catch it during off-peak times, it’s a solid choice that won’t leave you with any horror stories to tell when you get home.

Guest Reviews
Superb
Comfy room, great size, all the usual amenities.
What could be improved: I chose this hotel because it has parking, but when I called (post-reservation) to book a space I was told they have very limited spaces and they were all taken. I was stuck with street parking, which is paid from 8am to 6pm and limited to 3h at a time.
They also have this “club/owners” program and there were lots of prompts to watch a 90 minute presentation in exchange for a gift. All a bit suss.
We were happy with our stay overall and the staff were lovely
It was clean and quiet with good access
What could be improved: Secure parking was at an extra cost, free entertainment on the tv was locked out. Offering a “free gift” for 90 minutes of my our time isn’t a free gift
Good location, friendly staff
The layout of the room was good.
The Spa Bath was great!!
What could be improved: No milk in the Fridge to make a coffee or tea
Terrific location
Boutique-style. Small, friendly hotel. Great location. Very comfortable.
What could be improved: Nil
Superb
The property was very well presented and appeared to have had a recent modernisation. Rooms were very quite.
What could be improved: It appeared that anyone could walk in off the street during the day and access the accommodation floors via the lift without a room key if reception was unattended which is not really best practice.
Superb
location. Staff
What could be improved: room wasn’t serviced daily
Good choice for near the CBD
A very comfortable studio room. Modern facilities. Quiet area to stay in. The Red CAT free bus service stop is about 20m from the front door of the building, which is perfect for travel into the CBD
What could be improved: At $18, the continental breakfast seems expensive for what you get
Well presented in a quiet part of Pert
Well presented in a very quiet part of Perth.
A very nice experience in a classy venue. Thank you.
Location was beside the Perth Eye Hospital.
Friendliness of staff, giving a nice atmosphere.
What could be improved: The clear glass shower and the location of the towel rack, soap dispensers being too close.
General layout of the room did not seem practical.
Exceptional
Location in a quiet part of town with a free bus service into the city, a bus stop right outside the front door.
Good sized room with comfortable bed, both shower and large jacuzzi.
There were 3 or 4 good restaurants nearby, especially Joie the new French Cafe Bistrol round the corner.
Also really liked the free bikes, both electric and non electric, available for guests' use, and the lovely park at the end of the road where you could ride them.
What could be improved: Nothing really though it would have been good to have a cafe or restaurant in the hotel. There was however free self service coffee and tea available in the hotel reception area.
